Berry’s 2026 Utah State Championship presented by Homestead Cabinets

This is a Level II USPSA Pistol/PCC match with 13 stages and Chronograph stage.
The match can be shot if you are Staff on 1/2 day Thursday and Friday or with the main body of shooters on Saturday and Sunday. Squads will be limited to 15 shooters. We will not have a prize table this year but will be giving away a large amount of guns 25 plus and 500 round boxes of 9mm at a random draw during the arbitration period.
Check-in for the main match, Saturday – Sunday for shooters will be Friday afternoon 3 pm – 6pm at the range in the building by the Hotel bay. Thursday and Friday staff shooters will check in on their first stage.
There will be a $30 cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued after August 1, Junior Shooters less than 18 years of age shoot for half price, $95.00.
Non-Staff competitors will not be provided lunch. Non-Staff competitors should plan on bringing lunch or going out to lunch at one of the many restaurant’s near by the range. Bottled water on ice will be provided on the range on each bay.
We will have a lunch break after your squad has completed the 4th stage on Saturday.
Staff volunteers who work the match Saturday and Sunday are welcome and don’t have to be experienced Range Officers. All Staff will shoot for free, receive a match shirt, and will be provided lunch on all four days. There will also be a cooled Staff lounge with food and drinks. Match shirts for the competitors will be available on-line. We will email the link to shooters when it is available.

In the past, Salt Lake Practical Shooters’ Association (SLPSA) has hosted a well-staffed and well-liked State Championship that runs ahead of schedule and has a generous prize table. Last year we had 25 guns on the prize table, 23 the year before, plus other competitor gear. We’ve been called “the best little big match you can go to.” We aim to improve this year.
Big Salty Range is a 15 minute drive from the Salt Lake International Airport. There are many hotels and restaurants nearby.
