EFGA Escondido Fish and Game Association Combat Match – Trophy Series Match #6 – July 4 2026

This is the 6th of 6 Matches for the 2026 Trophy Series. Shooters will have a chance to compete for a trophy.
Competitors will receive points for placing in their respective
Division and/or Category. Open,Carry/Limited Optic, PCC,
Production, Single Stack and 22 Rimfire will have 1st, 2nd
and 3rd place trophies, Revolver & Top Handgunner will have
one trophy. Categories are Lady, Senior, Super Senior, and Distinguished Senior only. Competitors must shoot at least 3 matches in one division to qualify. Shooters must make sure your registration is complete and correct to get credit for your match entry. One gun registration limit per competitor.
Awards will be given during the August Shooters meeting and BBQ following the match.
This is a steel match. It consists of 5 stages, using Time Plus scoring. All stages will need 18 rounds to complete the stage. Bring extra.
You will need a minimum of 3 magazines or speed loaders, holster, magazine pouches, eyes and hearing protection. A (PCC) shooter must have their (PCC) fully covered inside a soft or hard case with a chamber flag inserted. PCC’s can only be handled at the Safety table or firing live under the direction of a Range Safety Officer. A general knowledge of firearm safety is mandatory.
Age Requirements: 21 and above. Juniors 15-20 (must be accompanied by parent or guardian).
Holster & Belt requirements:
Holsters MUST be directly attached to the belt.
Competitors must not be permitted to commence a course of fire:
1. Wearing a shoulder holster.
2. Holster that does not fully cover the trigger and trigger guard.
4. Inside the waistband holsters. No concealed drawing.
5. Holsters that have a cover over the gun that has to be uncovered to draw the firearm.
6. Holsters that point backwards towards the crowd.
If your holster doesn’t comply to these requirements, you must correct your holster and get approval from the Combat Match Shoot Chair prior to shooting the match.
Ammo requirements: No steel core ammunition including magnum or 9 major loads allowed. This ammo damages some of our mild steel targets and has a higher potential for ricochets. Minimum Caliber is 9mm for All divisions with the exception of the 22 Rimfire division. No 22 Carbine allowed. Pistols only.
Match fee:
Members: $10.00
Non-members: $20.00
Juniors: Under 15 – 20 $15.00 ( non member)
2nd gun registration 50% off regular registration.
Allowed only if there is less than 80 shooters.
We do not accept payment online at this time. Please pay cash at check-in on match day.

8:05a.m. – Mandatory Shooters Safety meeting & Stage Description.
Members early registration. Friday 12:00p.m. – Sunday 11:59a.m.
Open registration: Sunday 12:00p.m. – Friday 6:00p.m.
EFGA Members may pre-register before match opens to the public. Members who regularly attend or have attended the Combat Match in the past will receive an email containing a pre-registration code. This code will allow you to pre-register on Practiscore.com If you are a member and did not receive an email, and would like to pre-register for the upcoming Combat Match, please email the Match Director for the code. Members please do not share this code with non-members or register a non-member during members only early registration.
Non-members attempting to register early will have their registration canceled. Please register during open public registration.
There is a maximum of 80 shooters for this match. Members and non-members may only register one firearm. If the maximum number of shooters is not filled by close of check-in, on match day you may request to shoot a second gun. Second guns must compete in a different division.
100 shooters will be allowed to register. First come first served. So please pick a squad right away if you have the opportunity. If you weren’t able to squad due to maximum capacity being reached, Please check back for open spots. There’s always shooters who withdraw from the match.
All shooters must attend the shooters meeting. If you miss or don’t attend, you don’t shoot. Range Policy. If you bring spectators, please have them sign the green sheet.
ANY shooters arriving after 8:00AM will be denied shooting the match. Sorry no exceptions. Check-in and registration closes promptly at 8:00a.m. So please come early.
New shooters orientation: please see the Shoot Chair/Match Director right after stage description and before shooting your first stage. We will check your gear to make sure it meets Combat Match standards and answer any questions you may have.
Please do not handle your firearm or take your gear out of your vehicle while the flashing Blue light is on. Check-in and remain in the parking area until the Range Master has turned off the flashing Blue lights, when the flashing Blue lights are turned off, this means you may now enter the range area with your gear. You may holster your firearm ONLY at the Safety tables. Absolutely no handling of ammunition or dummy rounds at the Safety table. All firearms should be unloaded and no magazine in the magwell. Hammer down. Any handling of firearms anywhere else the shooter will be DQ’d.
