This will require you being at the match  1 to 1.5 hours prior to the match.\n1Gun is designed to combine the well liked aspects from the different shooting sports\, with dynamic stages and simpler rules. While we fully understand no game can ever prepare one for a real world defensive situation\, we are just trying to build on basic skills that one should have; by rewarding quick\, accurate shooting with the ability to think on the fly. To do this\, we combined standards\, mission based\, and run-n-gun type stages with a more dynamic experience that requires the shooter to adapt vs replay a rehearsed stage plan.\nBlind coin flips are done during the stage reset\, hidden under a cup\, revealing the threat target color after the starting beep\, produces dynamic stages. By the pure definition of dynamic stages\, we are saying the stage is not the same for each shooter. This is okay\, and is by design. Stages will be designed to be fair\, not exact or symmetrical. In other words\, every effort will be placed on keeping the shooting complexity similar\, regardless of which color threat is drawn. But depending on your strengths and or weaknesses\, the luck of the draw could be the equalizer. But with that said\, we believe that these slight differences balance out by the end of the match and the benefits of creating a more dynamic experience\, far out weighs any little differences.\nWe will be using the 1Gun v1.1 rulebook for this match.  You can find the rulebook on the 1Gun website ( https://1gun.org ).\nSAFETY NOTES:\n1. Eye and ear protection must be worn by everyone (competitors and spectators) while participating or viewing events.\n2. New shooters must be cleared with the Match Director (MD) or other appointed individual as having the basic knowledge of the rules\, and firearm safety.\n3. 1Gun functions on a “Cold Range” basis for safety. (Unloaded firearms may be handled in designated areas only\,  Firearms may only be loaded or unloaded under the direction of Safety Officers (SOs)\,  Violators will be disqualified (DQ) from the match\, no exceptions).\n4. DESCRIPTION:This is a match designed for people new to practical shooting games.  IF YOU ARE NOT A NEW SHOOTER\, YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE CANCELLED..\nIf you watch this video it will be discussed and helpful:\n\nWe will go over the rules\, divisions\, and then run three to four mini stages all building on the fundamentals of practical shooting. By the end of the night\, you should posses the knowledge necessary to safely compete in your first local match.\nOn signing up\, if you don’t know your division sign up as LIMITED MINOR UNCLASSIFIED (U)\nPlan on bringing your gun\, a good quality holster\, two spare magazines\, and mag pouches to hold them in. Bring 150 rounds. You won’t need that many but it’s always good to have them just in case. Additionally\, bring good eye and ear protection. Over the ear muffs are recommended as we are shooting indoors.\nWhen you come in\, remember to keep all guns in boxes or otherwise holstered and unloaded until you are in the safe area or directed by the Range Official.
