DESCRIPTION:A weekly Galactic Pistol Alliance (GPA) match on Monday evenings late March -September.  Verify match time when signing up as it will vary with sunset time. Be sure to include your GPA number so your match can count towards your classification. GPA is similar to IDPA but with simplified rules.  More info on GPA can be found here:  https://galacticpistolalliance.com/  A summary of the GPA rules are:\n 24 rounds maximum\nCarry as many mags as desired\nMags may be loaded to full capacity\nOne mandatory reload per stage – you decide when and where (after first shot before last shot)\nTargets may be required to be shot while moving\nNo tactical priority while shooting in the open\nDrop a loaded mag with no penalty\nUnlimited steel targets\nUnlimited non-threats\nNo cover garment\n½ second scoring (miss is a full 5 secs)\n5 stages – max round count of 120 (up to 24 shots on each stage) but bring extra for make-ups/re-shoots. Suggest bringing 150 rounds though likely won’t need more than 100.\nSerpa holsters are prohibited.

Pistol caliber only will be allowed with a round count of 75-100 rounds for the entire match. DESCRIPTION:This is a match designed to be shot with your daily carry handgun. It is designed to give you practice for dealing with a critical incident. This is not a long-range shoot. All paper targets will be “up close and personal”. Steel targets will be large and properly placed to avoid splash back.\nEquipment needed: One handgun – 380 or larger\, a holster that is concealed and covers the trigger guard\, a spare magazine\, and at least 50 rounds of ammunition.\nAll firearms and magazines must be concealed by a cover garment. Appendix carry is permitted. Red dot sights are allowed.\nRequirements/not allowed: Race guns\, all handguns must be readily concealable. belts must go through the belt loops on pants\, no stage walk throughs\, no practice aiming or turning on red dots. Stage designs and WSB’s will be approved and clearly drawn out prior to match day. The gates will open at 8am Sunday. If you’re shooting we expect you to arrive at 8:00-8:30 and be an active participant in setup. The stage designer will participate in building and directing construction of their stage. The match director will approve the layout before nailing down. The match will not begin until all stages are constructed and ready to go. You will help tear down the match.\nThis is common practice for clubs in other sections and other states. We know there will be a learning curve for all of us. Please bear with us.
