DESCRIPTION:In celebration of our country’s 250th Birthday we will ring it in with a massive falling steel stage the morning of July 4th. It will be epic!\nLocation:\n20500 Forest Woods Lane\nMontgomery\, TX 77356\nThe schedule is as follows.\n0900 22 and 9mm show up\n1100 shotgun show up\nOr show up when your free.\nEnd time is 1200.\n$15 per division or team run. Sign up in multiple divisions!\nHad to increase the cost a little for the amount of paint this is taking;)\nOne giant red\, white and blue stage. 115 plus targets with all my Texas Stars. All steel must be shot from appropriate color box to score. Shotgun and Shotgun teams will shoot last and color does not apply. Bring a few Slugs for shotgun.\nRESETTING IS REQUIRED  \nNOT PLANNING ON LOANER GUNS.\nThree colored shooting boxes. Must shoot targets from appropriate  color box. All shooting boxes will be behind a 6 foot table. You may stage guns and mags on the table. There will be dump buckets for pistols and rifles. Bring however many guns and mags you will need for 115+ targets. After we finish building the stage the target number may increase. All pistol calibers 22LR and shotgun are welcome. If you do not have enough mags and guns\, bring a friend! We will have a team division. Shotgun and Shotgun team will shoot after all other division as they will clear the paint off the steel and will not be held to color as targets will overlap. SUMMARY:RRPC Reactive Steel - July 2026
DESCRIPTION:This is our monthly steel match at RRPC\, open to the general public.\nThe match fee is $10\, payable in cash or check (made out to “Cash”) on the day of the match.  Exact change is greatly appreciated.  Match staff shoots for free.\nThe match comprises three stages and features approximately 90 reactive steel targets.\nThe match is held on the lower ranges.  Shooters check in at the Pistol Range Firing Line starting at 8:00 AM.  Shooters briefing is at 8:30 AM\, and shooting starts immediately after the briefing ends.\nEar and eye protection is mandatory for all\, including spectators.\nThis match is run as a Cold Range\, meaning no one has a loaded gun until they are at a shooting position and commanded to load by their safety officer.\nIDPA/USPSA safety rules and commands govern this match.\nCompetition divisions for this event are:\nCFPI – Center-Fire Pistols with iron(open) sights\nCFPO – Center-Fire Pistols with optics\nPCC – Center-Fire Pistol Caliber Carbines or braced pistols\nAmmo must be common pistol cartridges\, no magnums please. No steel core ammo allowed.  Bring plenty of ammo!\nScoring is elapsed time plus 5 seconds for any target not knocked over or down.  Lowest score wins.\nNormal starting position is with a holstered pistol or PCC at the low ready\, with all safeties engaged.  Pistol shooters without a holster or uncomfortable drawing from a holster may start from the low ready position but receive a 3 second penalty.\nPistol shooters without holsters and PCC shooters must keep their firearms cased until it is their turn to shoot.

DESCRIPTION:BRRC is happy to announce the July 2026 Precision Rifle Match.\nOur Precision Rifle matches will consist 6-7 stages with targets up to 1016 yards. The round count will be around 75. Stages will simulate field conditions and appropriate for all skill levels.\nEquipment:  Rifle equipped with an optic that will allow you to locate and engage targets\, and other shooting gear you like to use. Rangefinders\, spotting scopes\, binoculars\, shooting rests are all acceptable.\nAmmunition limitation:  30 caliber maximum.  Maximum muzzle velocity of 3500 FPS. No steel core ammunition will be allowed.\nFees have now changed to $30 for Club Members and $40.00 for non-members. As always the match is free to active duty military.\nSafety Notes: All rifles must have a safety/chamber flag installed and magazines removed when not on the line.

DESCRIPTION:Two days of learning from FIVE of the United States’ top practical shooters. Lockwood\, Eddins\, Sauerland\, Hwang\, and Constantine. You get to learn the best of what each of these professionals has to offer\, and shoot a 10-stage match in the process\, learn\, then apply.\nClass format: The class will be in the format of a match\, with squads rotating between stages. When you and your squad show up on a stage\, waiting on you will be one of the best pistol shooters in the country\, for example\, Aaron Eddins. Eddins will teach you in the typical class-style format a skill that he excels in\, after learning and practicing\, you will apply it to the stage and shoot in match-style\, receiving individualized feedback and tips after each person shoots. Then your squad moves to the next stage\, where another top level GM or national champion waits to teach you another skill or training method\, then you’ll apply it to that stage.\nEach day you will work with each instructor\, completing 5 “lessons” and 5 stages per day.\nLeading up to the event squadding will be organized on the GPGC practiscore page just like a match. Then Execution of that plan under pressure\, how to perform like a top level GM.\nIsaac Lockwood – USPSA Grandmaster and famous for having the fastest gun handling skills in practical shooting: Lockwood will be covering training and technique for speed and precision in draw\, grip\, split speed that scores good hits\, and additionally shot calling\, the skill that separates normal shooters from top level shooters: knowing where your bullets will hit before they get there\, training and application.\nJoey Sauerland – USPSA Grandmaster\, Team MPA Pro Shooter\, and multi-division National Champion: Sauerland will be tacking movement training. All categories of positions change\, how to identify them\, how to train to increase your abilities and efficiency\, and also shooting on the move. Hwang will going into depth on maybe the most important skill in the sport: transitions. Transitions are the key time saver that also greatly effect accuracy in shooting at speed. DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re new to shooting competitions or an experienced competitor\, you’ll enjoy 3 approachable stages that can be completed with less than 100 rounds and in under an hour. Compete again in the same or another division for a discounted match fee. Bring any pistol or PCC or try out a new SIG pistol or PCC for an additional fee. You must be a SHOOT SIG member and shoot a SIG firearm to be eligible for prizes.\n*NOTE: If you want to shoot in more than one Division or multiple entries in a single Division\, you must first complete your initial registration and pay the initial $45 match fee. Then\, you must register for each additional entry and select “Additional Division” under Extras in the payment information section to receive the discounted match fee of $25. Each additional entry in this manner will allow you to pick a respective Division and Squad; this will result in multiple registrations for the same match being displayed under your PractiScore dashboard profile.\n**NOTE: As a reminder\, we operate using a “cold range” principle which means all firearms are to remain unloaded and in your gun bag/box or holster until you are under the direct supervision of a SHOOT SIG Range Officer and have been instructed to “load and make ready” on a prescribed course of fire.
