SUMMARY:TSSA: Tactical Athlete Training (TAT)
DESCRIPTION:Match Name: TSSA: TAT Series (Tactical Athlete Training) – Ruskin\, FL\nPlatform: TSSA (Tactical Shooting Sports Association)\nEvent Type: Training Series\nTRAIN. PRACTICE. EVOLVE.\n**GET EXTRA TRAINING IN BEFORE THE PATRIOT GAMES MIAMI MATCH ON JAN 31 2026**\n1.0 Operational Overview\nTAT matches are competitive training environments designed to test yourself and your gear.\nWhile these matches provide a learning atmosphere\, they deliver a highly dynamic workout and range experience unlike any other. This is your opportunity for loadout validation—shaking down your kit and refining movement efficiency under physical stress without the pressure of a major competition. The focus is on personal benchmarking: you vs. the work.\nStage Design: Competitors will engage mock stages that mimic popular tier-one matches such as The Tactical Games and The Patriot Games.\nThe “Real Deal” Prep: Participants will be able to test run official RLS (Run | Lift | Shoot) Classifier Stages\, providing a standardized metric to gauge readiness for upcoming ranked Series matches.\nActive Feedback: Unlike major matches where coaching is prohibited during a run\, TAT matches allow for instructor intervention and post-run feedback to correct technical deficiencies immediately. Instructors are on standby to provide feedback if requested\, ensuring a self-paced environment for those who prefer to train without interruption.\n2.0 Division & Gear Guidelines\nAttendees should register under the division that matches the kit they intend to test. This ensures you are grouped with athletes of similar loadouts for pacing.\nTactical (Vested)\nTactical Elite: Full Kit (Plate Carrier) + Heavy Physical Load\nTactical Intermediate: Full Kit (Plate Carrier) + Standard Physical Load\nTactical Beginner: Full Kit (Plate Carrier) + Reduced Physical Load\nSlick (Belt Only/No PC) *Chest Rigs Allowed*\nSlick Elite: Belt Only + Heavy Physical Load\nSlick Intermediate: Belt Only + Standard Physical Load\nSlick Beginner: Belt Only + Reduced Physical Load\nRuck (Highly Recommended): If you own a ruck\, bring it. Aim for 25–35 lbs dry weight. We will incorporate load carriage into the training blocks.\nRifle: AR-15 platform (or similar) with a Sling (Required).\nPistol: Semi-automatic service pistol.\nHolster: Must be a sturdy Retention Holster (Level 1 friction minimum\, active retention highly recommended). No fabric/nylon universal holsters.\nBelt: Sturdy gun belt with magazine carriers.\nMagazines: Minimum 3 magazines for Rifle / 3 magazines for Pistol.\nEye & Ear Protection: Mandatory for all participants and spectators.\n3.0 Logistics & Schedule\nLOCATION Gun Craft 2102 24th St SE Ruskin\, FL 33570\nTIMELINE\n08:30 AM: Check-In / Gear Up\n09:00 AM: Safety Brief & Training Overview\n09:15 AM: Range Hot / First Drills Commenced\nREGISTRATION FEE\nCost: $50.00\nPrimary Payment: Secure payment via Practiscore (Stripe) is preferred at registration.\nWalk-ons: We accept Cash or Card in person at the range (subject to slot availability).\n4.0 Resource Requirements (Ammo)\nCompetitors are responsible for their own ammunition.\nPistol: 150 Rounds (Minimum)\nRifle: 120 Rounds (Minimum)\nTraining Note: We recommend bringing extra ammunition beyond the minimums. If time permits\, you may have the opportunity to get extra reps on specific drills or classifiers.\nFITNESS SAFETY: We will be pushing physical limits. Please hydrate the night before. If you are new to training in a plate carrier\, let the instructors know during the brief so we can scale the volume appropriately. Bring extra hydration and snacks; water and a covered pavilion with fans will be provided.\nMEDIA COVERAGE: A complimentary photo package is included for all attendees. Professional\, watermarked action photos will be made available to all competitors after the match for download and social sharing.\nEmail: Jeremy@tssausa.com\nText: 239-851-2926

SUMMARY:Littlestown Open Steel 16 May
DESCRIPTION:This is the Littlestown Open Steel match for Saturday\, 16 May 2026\nWe usually have 3 stages of 6 to 12 targets\, including one “different” stage. For shooters who want “more shooting” we will be running up to 5 strings per stage\, if you don’t have (or want to use up) that much ammo you can elect to only shoot 3 strings\, or skip a stage entirely to save ammo for another stage. Strictly shooter’s choice\, just let the Range Officers know what you want to do. Practicing “ammo management” should keep the round count in the 100-120 range\, plus however many times you plan to miss. We also try to be “revolver friendly” setting up the stages with a sub-group of 5 or 6 targets if you want to try using a revolver or 1911 without reloading. We usually have room for walk-in registrants\, so if you know someone who is not on Practiscore who wants to shoot\, tell them to come on out.\nIn recognition of the ammunition situation\, we are opening up all squads to rim fire in addition to center fire. Bring out your .22 handguns & carbines and join the .380 to .45 fun!\nThe fee for this match is $10 cash paid at sign in. Sign in starts at 8:00 AM\, if you want to show up a little earlier we always appreciate help setting up the targets. There will be a safety briefing at 8:50\, and we start shooting at 9:00.\nOne operational note: when you start shooting a stage\, you must have enough ammunition on your person loaded in magazines (or some type of loading device if you are shooting a revolver) to complete the stage. Once you enter the shooter’s box\, there will be no loading of magazines allowed; if you run all of your magazines dry that will end your stage. We strongly recommend having at least 50 rounds loaded and ready. A magazine reloading area will be provided at each stage\, and you can reload magazines at any time while others are shooting. Please also note that\, in the interest of time\, this will be a “lost brass” event: it would complicate things too much to allow retrieval of spent brass. More details will be provided at Saturday morning’s briefing.\nOnce again\, welcome to Littlestown Open Steel!
