A flagged carbine is treated the same as a holstered pistol\, except for sweeping rules.\n• Uncasing the carbine may be done in a safe area\, or against a side berm or backstop.\n• When a competitor is called to the line to shoot\, they may carry an empty\, with chamber flag\, PCC muzzle up or muzzle down\, or the PCC may be cased.\n• After “Hammer down and Flag”\, with an empty with chamber flag PCC\, the competitor can immediately re-case the PCC or carry the PCC as stated above. The PCC can then be carried to a side berm staging area well behind the firing line and placed back in a case or on a cart.

DESCRIPTION:22LR Falling Steel Match at Sharpshooters Indoor Range (Cold Range\, make sure all firearms are completely empty before coming in the store).\nA head-to-head match where 2 shooters compete to knock down five 6″x 8″ steel plates from their respective sides\, using only 22LR Rifles or Pistols\, 10 rounds max. They are usually conducted as a double-elimination match with one-time buy-ins for $5 up to the 3rd round. New shooters will shoot at least 3 times. If there are fewer than 16 entries\, we may go to triple elimination with no buy-ins. Pairing is randomized as much as possible\, but repeat pairings will occur. There are 2 separate divisions\, Rimfire Rifle and Rimfire Pistol (any sighting system). A free match pass is presented to each division winner. Sponsored shooters are not eligible. All scores will be posted on the Upstate Sport Shooting Group FB page. Minimum Equipment: Rifle must have a safety flag\, 2 mags loaded to 10\, eye and ear protection. Pistol in a safely secured container (Holster\, Range Tray\, Range Bag\, or zippered gun rug)\, 2 mags loaded to 10\, eye and ear protection.\nYou may sign up for 2 divisions. DESCRIPTION:HTF Practical Shooters hosts a weekly outlaw match with USPSA rules. The match is held indoors on the HTF pistol range. We do not host classifiers\, and typically shoot 3-5 stages with a round count of 120 rounds total for the match. Bring 150-200 rounds to be safe.\nThe match fee is $15.99 plus tax. Check-in and payment is handled at the HTF range desk. If you have an HTF range membership\, the match is free.\nIf you are a new shooter\, please show up 45 minutes early so that a match director has time to walk you through safety topics and the rules.

SUMMARY:Heartland Steel Challenge League June 11th
DESCRIPTION:Steel Challenge is a speed shooting competition governed by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) that consists of eight standardized stages with steel targets in three sizes; small circular (10”)\, large circular (12”) and rectangular (18×24”) targets. Competitors are scored solely by the time it takes them to complete each stage\, and the match winner is the competitor with the lowest overall time.\nThere will be 3 stages with 5 steel targets on each. Shooters get five runs on each stage. Each competitor shoots each stage five times\, with their slowest run dropped. The counting times are totaled for their stage score\, and the 4 stage scores are added together to establish the competitor’s match score.\nFor each run\, one hit per target is required\, with an unlimited number of rounds. The last target to be shot is known as the “stop plate”\, which stops the timer. Any primary targets that have not been hit after the stop plate has been struck\, will be scored with a 3-second penalty each. The maximum time permitted for a run is 30 seconds and a competitor will be stopped and asked to reload if they reach the 30 second limit.
