Each match consists of five stages with targets ranging from 100 to 700 yards. Every stage has a 20 round maximum. A typical Accurized AR match requires you to make between 40 to 50 hits\, so bring enough ammunition to accommodate.\nMATCH HIGHLIGHTS:\n• 5 Stages\n• Start Time: 8am\, Squads 1-5\n• Equipment Divisions: Open\, Restricted\, Tactical\, Heavy\, Limited. See rules for equipment requirements.\n• The provided Written Stage Briefings (WSB’s) below are subject to change. Final WSB’s will be sent out the night before the match.\nMATCH RULES:\n• This match operates under it’s own rule set.\n• All shooters must have read and be familiar with the rules of the match. Match rules are attached below.\nREGISTRATION & WITHDRAWAL:\n• Match Fee is $30. Cowtown Range members get a $5 discount.\n• No walk-up entries.\n• Pre-registration and pre-payment are required to enter the range\, and squad for the match.\n• One division/entry per competitor.\n• Withdrawal policy: Refunds (minus transaction fee) will be given to those shooters who withdraw on Practiscore by 6pm on Thursday prior to the match. Refunds are not given for no-shows.\n• New Shooters: If this is your first Cowtown Accurized AR match\, please identify yourself to the squad safety officer (SSO) prior to shooting the match for a safety briefing. If you have any questions\, email us or ask an official when you arrive.\n• Wait List: If you end up on the wait list\, please keep a close eye on your email – if a slot opens up\, you will receive an approval email and have just one hour to pay/squad… after that\, we will move to the next person on the list.\nREQUIRED WAIVER\nPlease use the “Bizzflo” link below to complete the Cowtown Range waiver in advance of the match. It’s good for 1 year. If you do not\, you will need to complete the waiver at the range before the match. SUMMARY:NRL22 Canada - Sherwood Park Fish and Game in Alberta - July COF on July 18 2026
DESCRIPTION:The NRL22 is a fun and cost effective way to get into precision rifle shooting! The group at SPFGA are easy-going and more than happy to welcome both new- and guest-shooters.\nThis is a .22lr event shooting off of various barricades and props\, at target sizes ranging from .25″ to 6″ at varying distances.\nGear requirements: .22lr (bolt-action or semi-auto) with a detachable box magazine with 1 magazine\, 2 would be preferred. A magnified optic is not required\, though is strongly recommended.\n!!!!!!!! New for 2025 at Sherwood Park Fish & Game NRL22 events !!!!!!!!\nThere will be an extra practice stage set up\, in addition to the five from that month’s course of fire. This stage is intended for new competitors\, and those still learning the ropes alike\, to practice fundamentals before the match begins. If you intend to make use of this practice stage\, please plan to be at the range for 9:00am (an hour before the match begins)\, and notify one of the match director’s in advance to ensure your access to the facilities. Additionally\, we understand there is an element of intimidation to those first few matches\, and we encourage potentially shy shooters not to worry this community is very helpful and you are in great company to learn.\nNo rifle\, no ammo? No problem! We understand that this is an expensive shooting sport to begin with\, and acquiring gear up front can be intimidating and costly. We are able to provide a loaner rifle\, supplementary ammunition and any other necessary gear for first-time shooters. We are happy to offer this for the first few matches for new shooters\, though please do not abuse our charity! If you will require a loaner rifle\, please contact one of the match director’s in advance.\n-8:00am: match setup (feel free to show up early and pitch in!)\n-9:00am: Match briefing and zero\n-10:00am: monthly NRL22 match begins\n-matches will proceed rain or shine\, unless otherwise notified\n-Round count: 75 minimum\n-Safety equipment: hearing protection and chamber flag\n-Note: Non-members must pay a once-per-day $25 guest fee to access the SPFGA property. Card only\, please DO NOT bring cash.\n-Match directors:\n-Lowell Niven (lowellniven@hotmail.com)\n-Todd Laughlin (todd.laughlin@hotmail.com)\nMonthly Course of Fire can be found here: https://nrl22canada.ca/\nHope to see you at the match\, come see what your .22 can do!

SUMMARY:2026-07-18 1Gun (EDS) at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club
DESCRIPTION:There will be 6’ish mini-stages\, each built around everyday defensive scenarios (EDS) with lower round counts. These stages might involve situations like a carjacking attempt by multiple attackers (i.e. 4-5) or a home-invasion scenario with several intruders (i.e. 6-8). Every stage is intentionally short\, close-range\, and very fast—designed to reflect the kinds of threats a person could realistically face.\nWhile no stage can truly replicate real life\, the goal is to make them feel far more “real-world”. These stages focus on practical\, defensive decision-making under stress.\nAppendix Carry is ONLY authorized for Advanced classification or above.\n1Gun is designed to combine the well liked aspects from the different shooting sports\, with dynamic stages and simpler rules. While we fully understand no game can ever prepare one for a real world defensive situation\, we are just trying to build on basic skills that one should have; by rewarding quick\, accurate shooting with the ability to think on the fly. To do this\, we combined standards\, mission based\, and run-n-gun type stages with a more dynamic experience that requires the shooter to adapt vs replay a rehearsed stage plan.\nThe 1Gun Rulebook is attached to the match and for more information\, please see the https://1gun.org website.\nBlind coin flips are done during the stage reset\, hidden under a cup\, revealing the threat target color after the starting beep\, produces dynamic stages. By the pure definition of dynamic stages\, we are saying the stage is not the same for each shooter. This is okay\, and is by design. Stages will be designed to be fair\, not exact or symmetrical. In other words\, every effort will be placed on keeping the shooting complexity similar\, regardless of which color threat is drawn. But depending on your strengths and or weaknesses\, the luck of the draw could be the equalizer. But with that said\, we believe that these slight differences balance out by the end of the match and the benefits of creating a more dynamic experience\, far out weighs any little differences.\n$22 with a $9 discount for verified PRGC members.
