SUMMARY:2026-07-04 Saturday USPSA at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club
DESCRIPTION:This will be a 5 USPSA stage match with a round count of between 150 and 160.\nThis match has a special contest! the person wearing the brightest and most patriotic outfit as chosen by the match director will get to shoot the following month match for free!!\nIf you want to shoot both matches (Friday night and Saturday morning) then you will have to register in two different divisions per USPSA rule 6.2.4 and 6.2.4.1. Failure to do so may result in zero score for the second match.\n$25 with a $5 discount for verified PRGC members.\nAppendix Carry is ONLY authorized for C Classification or above.\nThe Practical Division is always happy to have new shooters at our USPSA matches but it is important that you be familiar with the rules and procedures before you shoot your first match.\nWe will cover specific rules and answer questions at the new shooter’s briefing before the match but the following general rules will keep you in compliance when you first arrive:\nA. Bring your unloaded gun to the match in a case or bag.\nB. Handle your gun only at one of these two approved times:\n1.	When in the marked safety areas. These areas are where you transfer the gun from your bag or case to your holster at the start of the match\, and where you return it to your bag or case when you are finished with the match.\n2.	When explicitly authorized by the RO when it is your turn to shoot a stage. You are allowed to handle your gun beginning with the “Make Ready “ command and ending with the “Range Is Clear” command.\nC. Do not bring ammunition into the safety areas.\nD. Guns are to be unloaded with no magazines in them at all times except for when you are the shooter and have been given the “Make Ready “ command. After the “Range Is Clear” command you are again subject to the unloaded gun requirement.

SUMMARY:SAPS USPSA 7-04-26
DESCRIPTION:Thanks to all those who helped with setting up stages and tearing them down after our last match.\nThis is a purely volunteer sport\, no one is paid to set up or design stages\, or to put away walls\, targets etc. Everyone pays the same amount of money for match fees\, including the match director. That is why we are able to only charge $10.00 per person to shoot S.A.P.S. matches and still cover expenses.\nIf you enjoy shooting our matches we would like to avoid burning out our helpers so please lend a hand. We understand that not everyone is able to lift walls or move steel but helping with stapling paper targets and tearing them down when we finish would be a great help.\nThat will allow us to get set up earlier\, we can begin shooting sooner and we can get off the range quicker.\nBefore heading to the bays\, you need to check-in at the office. $5 fee for members and $10 fee for non-members.

SUMMARY:SWGC USPSA Pistol Match - July 2026
DESCRIPTION:Sir Walter Gun Club – USPSA Pistol Match – 8 Stages\n$25.00 for non-members of SWGC\, $15.00 for members of SWGC. Jr. shooters are $10.00\nThe Match Director will also serve as the Range Master for this match.\nNOTE: If you withdraw from the match before midnight on the Thursday before the match\, you will be refunded your match fee less $2.00 to cover the fees. No refunds or credits will be given for withdrawals after that time or no shows at the match.\nSir Walter Gun Club SIG Sauer P320 Ban\nEffective 8/7/2025\, all SIG Sauer P320-based pistols are prohibited at Sir Walter Gun Club until further notice.\nIn the interest of safety for all members and visitors\, the Sir Walter Gun Club board is implementing a temporary ban prohibiting all SIG Sauer P320-based pistols from being brought onto or used on club property. This includes all variants and modified versions of the P320 platform\, such as the X5.\nThis decision has been made following a series of recent incidents and un-commanded discharges involving the P320 platform. Considering these events\, several government agencies and private facilities have also adopted similar temporary restrictions on the use of these firearms while further testing and evaluations are conducted.\nWe understand that this may be an inconvenience to some of our members and guests\, and we sincerely thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our entire community. The Sir Walter Gun Club board will re-evaluate this decision in the future as new credible information emerges.\nPlease Note: This restriction applies only to the P320 and its variants. All other SIG Sauer pistols and rifles are unaffected by this ban and remain welcome on club property.
