DESCRIPTION:This is our monthly steel match at RRPC\, open to the general public.\nThe match fee is $10\, payable in cash or check (made out to “Cash”) on the day of the match.  Exact change is greatly appreciated.  Match staff shoots for free.\nThe match comprises three stages and features approximately 90 reactive steel targets.\nThe match is held on the lower ranges.  Shooters check in at the Pistol Range Firing Line starting at 8:00 AM.  Shooters briefing is at 8:30 AM\, and shooting starts immediately after the briefing ends.\nEar and eye protection is mandatory for all\, including spectators.\nThis match is run as a Cold Range\, meaning no one has a loaded gun until they are at a shooting position and commanded to load by their safety officer.\nIDPA/USPSA safety rules and commands govern this match.\nCompetition divisions for this event are:\nCFPI – Center-Fire Pistols with iron(open) sights\nCFPO – Center-Fire Pistols with optics\nPCC – Center-Fire Pistol Caliber Carbines or braced pistols\nAmmo must be common pistol cartridges\, no magnums please. No steel core ammo allowed.  Bring plenty of ammo!\nScoring is elapsed time plus 5 seconds for any target not knocked over or down.  Lowest score wins.\nNormal starting position is with a holstered pistol or PCC at the low ready\, with all safeties engaged.  Pistol shooters without a holster or uncomfortable drawing from a holster may start from the low ready position but receive a 3 second penalty.\nPistol shooters without holsters and PCC shooters must keep their firearms cased until it is their turn to shoot.

Compete again in the same or another division for a discounted match fee. Bring any pistol or PCC or try out a new SIG pistol or PCC for an additional fee. You must be a SHOOT SIG member and shoot a SIG firearm to be eligible for prizes.\n*NOTE: If you want to shoot in more than one Division or multiple entries in a single Division\, you must first complete your initial registration and pay the initial $45 match fee. Then\, you must register for each additional entry and select “Additional Division” under Extras in the payment information section to receive the discounted match fee of $25. Each additional entry in this manner will allow you to pick a respective Division and Squad; this will result in multiple registrations for the same match being displayed under your PractiScore dashboard profile.\n**NOTE: As a reminder\, we operate using a “cold range” principle which means all firearms are to remain unloaded and in your gun bag/box or holster until you are under the direct supervision of a SHOOT SIG Range Officer and have been instructed to “load and make ready” on a prescribed course of fire. If you are planning to shoot the match with your carry gun and you arrive to the range with a loaded (hot) firearm\, we will have designated safe areas clearly marked where you can safely unload your firearm prior to checking in.
