DESCRIPTION:SIG SAUER Academy will be hosting monthly new competitor matches from 6-9pm.\nThis event is planned for 2-3 Stages.\n***If you’re approved from the waitlist\, please pay the match fee within 24 hours. Unpaid competitors will be removed after 24 hours and the next competitor from the waitlist will be approved.***\nThe intent of this event is to provide first time competitors with a stress free\, friendly environment. Where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. Shooters will be “coached\,” by the competition staff on rules\, walk throughs and general stage execution.\nCompetitors must bring a suitable firearm\, belt mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 100 rounds of ammunition. It’s recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you’re also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don’t have magazine pouches. No pocket\, ankle\, or small of the back\, fanny pack\, or off-body holsters.\nAll Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all time. To include drawing from the holster\, safely loading/ unloading firearms\, shooting while moving etc. Failure to do so will result in removal from the match at the discretion of the staff.\nCompetitor check in will begin at 5:30pm at the SEC range counter\, safety brief location will be announced there and will start at 6:00pm.\nAll competitors and visitors entering the SEC ranges must complete an electronic waiver annually. Waivers can be completed at the SEC range desk.\nAll firearms shall be unloaded and cased upon entering the facility. Once checked-in and inside the shooting bays\, the Range Officers will walk you through the process of gearing up with your firearm. This event will be a “COLD RANGE”. Do NOT gear up in any location other than on the range under the supervision of the competition staff.\n***All competitors 18 years of age or under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Competitors under 14 years of age are not permitted under any circumstance.***\nRefund Policy:\nFull refunds\, minus Stripe fees\, if a competitor requests to withdraw more than seven calendar days before the start date of the match. No refunds will be issued if a competitor requests to withdraw less than seven calendar days before the start date of the match.

SUMMARY:August 6 2026 Bowling Pin Match at SharpShooters Indoor Range
DESCRIPTION:Sharpshooters Indoor Range Bowling Pin Competition Match (Cold Range\, make sure all firearms are completely empty before coming in the store).\nA head-to-head match where 2 shooters compete in shooting 5 bowling pins off a tabletop from their respective sides\, using revolvers with 10 rounds max. They are usually conducted as a double-elimination match with one-time buy-ins for $5\, up to the 3rd round. New shooters will shoot at least 3 times. If there are fewer than 20 entries\, we may go to triple elimination with no buy-ins. Pairing is randomized as much as possible\, but repeat pairings will occur. There are 3 separate classes\, Minor (380\, 9mm\, 38 Sp)\, Major (357 Mag or Sig\, 10mm\, 45 Auto) caliber\, and PCC. No 44 Mag or other similar or large magnum calibers. No Rifle calibers are allowed. Any sighting system is allowed. A SharpShooter’s Match/Range pass is presented to each class winner. All scores will be posted on the Upstate Sport Shooting Group FB page.\nMinimum Equipment: Revolver\, Holster or gun rug or range bag\, eye and ear protection. Sign up on the Squad listed for your division. If you want to shoot more than 1 division\, you will need to sign separately for each one. There will be a $5 fee for all additional divisions. You may only shoot in 2 divisions.\nIf the shooters tie in their round\, they will be loaded up with up to 10 rds to break the tie. If all pins are knocked down in a tie\, 2 pins will be set up for each shooter to resolve the tie. If they tie again\, an additional pin will be set up for the next tie-breaker round.
