SUMMARY:Hyatt Presents - May NRA AR Challenge L2 Match
DESCRIPTION:The NRA America’s Rifle Challenge (ARC) Program is a dynamic\, marksmanship-oriented\, firearms competition\, based on the AR-15 and/or other appropriate semi-automatic rifles. The NRA ARC program\, administered by the NRA’s Competitive Shooting Division\, provides for several different levels of sanctioned matches\, Level 1 and Level 2\, as well as an ARC 2Gun event\, which incorporates semi-automatic handguns and is similar to ARC Level 2. The NRA ARC Program also provides a structured NRA ARC Training Course\, which is under development.\nNRA ARC L2 courses of fire are dynamic and generally require movement\, positional shooting\, shooting from props/barricades and test accuracy skills all under time limitations\nSchedule of events:\nMatch sign-in ends at 9:30 am\nMatch safety brief – 9:30 am\nMatch start – 10:00 am\nMatch Fee – $20 for members / $305 for non-members\nWhen you arrive at our range\, head to the Pro Shop and sign in\, and pay for the match. Please ensure your weapon is unloaded and no magazine is installed when you arrive. There will be a safe area for handling firearms. No ammo will be allowed in the safe areas. This means that all firearms must remain unloaded\, rifles slung or placed in carts with a chamber flag fully inserted INTO THE CHAMBER of the firearm unless under the direct supervision of an RO or safely handled while in a designated safe area or function fire area. Transport of firearms during a match – when moving any firearm from one location to another (such as stage to stage)\, the firearm will be COMPLETELY unloaded. SUMMARY:WEGC Steel Challenge Match May 2 2026
DESCRIPTION:Match Sign-In starts at 7:30am.\nMatch Safety Briefing starts at 8:00.\nMatch starts immediately after Safety Briefing.\nWEGC Steel Challenge is a speed shooting competition that involves shooting arrays of steel targets while timed. There are 8 stages. Each stage has five steel plate targets of various sizes set at different distances. There is a designated “stop plate” which must be shot last in sequence on the stage.\nOn the start signal\, the competitor fires one shot on each of the targets. The competitor must hit each of the steel plate targets on the stage once during the string. The shooter finishes the string by hitting the designated stop plate. Each string is timed\, so the faster a competitor can hit each of the steel plate targets on the stage\, the better. The only penalty for missing a target is a time penalty (3 seconds). This means you can fire as many make up shots as needed to hit each target without penalty.\nAll but one stage consists of 5 strings of fire – or 5 different attempts at the stage. The times for the fastest four strings are added together for the total time (score) on that stage. The worst (slowest) string is thrown out and not part of the total time. The total time for each of the stages becomes the competitor’s total score for the match.
