DESCRIPTION:This will be our first Rimfire PRS match of the 2026 season. This will be a PRS New England Regional points match\, the cost is $30.00.\n8-9 stages\, Please bring at least 130 rounds to complete the COF. 22 long rifle. Range gate will be open\, Zero range starts between 8:00 and 8:30am\, Safety Briefing at 9:15\, Match will start around 9:30. All PRS rules apply. We will need a good mix of experienced shooters with the novices to help RO and spot impacts\, thank you. The range has some covered shooting line\, match will go on rain or shine.\nThe club is easy to find\, after you enter the landfill entrance approach off of Rt. 28 North\, just go left before the Landfill gate at the sign for the club. Once you go thru the club’s gate\, the rifle range is all the way right down the hill behind the indoor range building. You might have to park up in the main parking lot.\nNote: Unfortunately\, the Club isn’t set up for online payments by credit card. Please bring cash and exact change if you can. Coach Sammy craig@coachsammy.ca\nThis course will cover how to shoot a Service Rifle match and help you competing in NSCC (National Service Conditions Competition) held on 9/10th Sept at CFB Borden\, and 4 Service Rifle matches run by the ORA in Apr\, May\, June & July before NSCC.\nService Rifle is a challenging and very active rifle match\, which is shooting in any weather\, positional shooting in Prone\, Sitting\, Kneeling and Standing\, and match types Deliberates\, Snap\, Rapid & Rundowns.\nCovered are set up of your rifle\, ammo\, belt or vest\, and all equipment you need and best set ups. Shooting positions of Prone\, Kneeling\, Sitting\, and Standing will be demonstrated and then you will practise them. Examples of the targets used and what a Deliberate\, Snap\, Rapid & Rundown match types are. Trail carry\, Come Ups\, Wind\, and the Mental game are all covered. Challenges include kettlebell throws\, weighted props\, running\, crawling\, and strenuous shooting positions.\nEquipment Information\nCompetitors will need a rigid holster with solid retention\, a sling for their rifle as there will be a good deal of movement\, and a way to securely carry at least 2 rifle and 3 pistols magazines.\nPCCs are allowed to be used as a rifle for the match.  There is no specified division for PCCs and stage procedures will be unchanged.\nAmmunition: Rifle cartidges allowed are 5.56\, 7.62×39 and other similiar energy rounds.  Not allowed are 7.62×51 (.308)\, similiar or higher energy rounds as these rounds cause damage to our steel targets.  If you have any questions please reach out to match director for clarification or determination.  No steel core or armor penetrating ammunition such as “Green Tips”.  Pistol cartridges allowed are 9mm. 45\, 10mm\, .38 and similiar energy rounds. DESCRIPTION:We are trying something new this year – 8 stages – 4 official IDPA stages that will be modified to 4 outlaw stages.  This will be recorded as 2 separate matches and is included in the single match fee of $25.00..\nHolbrook Sportsmen’s Club runs a cold Range! The outdoor safe table is located between the rifle ranges and indoor safe table is Range 2 (22LR range).\nIDPA matches are HANDGUN ONLY! Appendix Carry IS ALLOWED if done safely.\nIf staff feel you cannot draw safely from an appendix holster\, we reserve the right to have you change to an OWB holster or start from the low ready position for the remainder of the match. If removed from the match\, registration fee will be forfeited.\nStage count: 8\, which may include 1 indoor low-light. Be prepared with a flashlight for low light shooting.\nRound count: 160 minimum (200 is suggested to be safe)\nWaitlisting is enabled. We approve waitlisted shooters up until 2pm the day prior to the match. If you are approved to shoot and you need to withdraw\, please do so as soon as possible as a courtesy to waitlisted shooters.\nPayment is required via stripe when registering.
