SUMMARY:Zoo City Armory’s "The Gauntlet" May 30
DESCRIPTION:The Zoo City Armory “The Gauntlet” is an intense shooting competition designed to challenge both the physical endurance\, strength and marksmanship abilities of its athletes. Competitors navigate a demanding course that includes a variety of obstacles\, requiring them to run\, climb\, lift\, move and maneuver through rugged terrain\, all while maintaining precision with firearms. The event tests not only speed and agility but also accuracy under pressure\, with timed shooting stages spread throughout the course. Participants must demonstrate a unique blend of strength\, stamina\, and sharpshooting skills\, making “The Gauntlet” a true test of all-around athleticism. Athletes will need to be able to move objects at a variety of weights and engage targets from 1-400 yards. \n*Mission / Spirit of the Gauntlet – Designed to be more of a training event to test yourself and equipment than a competition. We advocate Knowledge Distribution; if you see someone having trouble with a certain task / skill and you have a solution\, help them. We encourage coaching during this match! * \nMay 30th\, 2026\nCheck In and Registration: 0800\nShooters Meeting: 0845\nFirst Rounds Down Range NLT: 9:15am\nMatch Director: Chris Hutchison \nDivisions: \nLegendary: The weight for the plate carrier will be no less than 20lbs empty. This division will be the most challenging with max weight that an athlete may have to lift (meaning ground to shoulder) will be 150lb. The max weight that an athlete may have to carry (per hand) will be no more than 125lbs. \nHeroic: The weight for the plate carrier will be no less than 14lbs empty. This division is meant for the “everyday Joe”\, it will be physically demanded yet doable. The max weight that an athlete may have to lift (meaning ground to shoulder) will be 100lb. The max weight that an athlete may have to carry (per hand) will be no more than 90lbs.\nFemale Legendary: The weight for the plate carrier will be no less than 10lbs empty. This division is meant for “females only” to test their abilities in their own division\, it will be physically demanded yet doable. The max weight that an athlete may have to lift (meaning ground to shoulder) will be 75lb. The max weight that an athlete may have to carry (per hand) will be no more than 70lbs. \nRecruit: There is no plate carrier required for this division. Competitors can run a plate carrier or “rack” if they would like. This division is specifically designed for new shooters of the sport. This division is to help build confidence\, ability\, and experience all while having fun\, and meeting new friends. This division will test your abilities\, but not become overwhelming. The max weight that an athlete may have to lift (meaning ground to shoulder) will be 50lb. The max weight that an athlete may have to carry (per hand) will be no more than 50lb.\n Firearms: \nAll divisions are open (Rifle and Pistol may run any optic or multiple optics and any sort of set up). All rifles must have a sling. Pistols may have a red dot and must have a holster than can retain the pistol while negotiating obstacles. Yes! You can run a surpressor! \nRifle: .223 and above. No green tip\, tracer\, armor piercing or M855A1 allowed\, this could result in a match DQ if caught using these. \nPistol: 9mm or larger. \nPlate Carriers: The weight for all the plate carriers mentioned above will be weighed empty. Empty meaning that the shooter will not have any magazines\, ammunition\, radios\, water or other gear to “make weight”. The weight will consist of the plate carrier\, pouches and either ballistic or exercise plates. \nSupporting devices (i.e.\, Support Bags\, Tripods\, Bipods etc..) may be used from stage to stage but must be fixed to the firearm for the entire course of fire. Example\, shooter decides to run a “Game Changer” Bag for a stage\, the bag must be attached to their rifle for the entire course of fire. Ammunition may not be staged through the course of fire. All loads and reloads must come from the body unless otherwise stated in the Written Stage Brief (WSB). \nRound Count: Minimum Round count will be 100 Rifle and 100 Pistol. A more specific round count will be sent to the athletes before the day of the match.\nLast day to sign up and receive a match T Shirt is May 8th\, 2026.\nAwards will be given to 1st\, 2nd and 3rd for each division. There will also be an award given for Top Senior 50+\, Top Junior 17 and younger and Top Military\, Top LEO\, and Top Firefighter if there are 3 or more signed up. No prize table for the remaining matches until the Championship to allow for a larger and more robust prize table.\nChris Hutchison\n(910) 585-4156\nThe.gauntlet.match@gmail.com

SUMMARY:PNTC 2026 May 30 American Defender - Defensive Pistol Match
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the evolution of the defensive handgun match. American Defender takes the defensive elements of IDPA and injects them with the high-octane speed and target density of USPSA. This isn’t just about standing behind a barricade – it’s about explosive movement\, aggressive target transitions\, and maintaining critical accuracy under the stress. Utilizing a wide array of steel\, paper\, and moving targets\, this match offers something to challenge every level of shooter.\nFeaturing 5 stages of continuous action in a target rich environment here’s what to expect:\n•	Dynamic Scenarios: Move through diverse stages featuring cover\, and multiple target arrays.\n•	Stages are timed and scored using a simple Time-plus format.\n•	Tactical Problem Solving: You’ll face “shoot/no-shoot” decisions\, shooting from cover and shoot on the move style engagements.\n•	Shoot what you carry without concealment restrictions. Use of an open-carry or out-of-waistband is required.\n•	No power factor\, or concealment garments required.\nThe simplified rules and straight-forward divisions make this a good match for those new to competition or those who simply want to add a new level to their training. Shooting under a timer brings new challenges\, and forces you work “under pressure”. Formerly know at the Kahr Arms Defensive Pistol Match – numerous law enforcement officers – from Fairfax\, Frederick\, as well as here in West Virginia have routinely participated in these matches.\nCombining 12 years of experience designing competitive shooting matches with a professional background as a firearms instructor for DOS’s diplomatic security personnel\, David Doughty’s mission is to deliver a top tier competition at a club level price\, so shooters of all levels can continue to sharpen their skills. American Defender and 2 Gun are the two matches at Peacemaker specifically designed to add real-world value in a fun competitive shooting format.\nNOTE: This match will also have a separate Sunday offering. Scores will be combined and posted on Sunday afternoon. Shooters cannot re-shoot match on Sunday for score (in same division) but are welcome to shoot for fun!

SUMMARY:Colfax May - Speed Freak Rimfire Monthly
DESCRIPTION:During the Colfax Speed Freak Rimfire Monthly match we will shoot 8 unique stages. This match will test competitors with stages where there are between 3 and 8 targets. In some cases your worst strings will not be dropped like in other events. Stages will be 3-5 strings. The true intention of this type of match is to make it easy enough for new and existing gun owners who don’t have or cannot afford a large inventory of magazines for their guns; or don’t have both a pistol and rifle in 22LR\, involved in the shooting sports. Making events such as this centered around family\, fun\, and education is our goal here at Colfax Sportsmen’s Club.\nThere are four (6) Divisions: Optics Pistol\, Optics Rifle\, Optics Revolver\, Irons Pistol\, Irons Rifle\, and Irons Revolver.\n *Please Note; You MUST designate your Category if applicable and select only ONE per Division when registering. The registration fee is $10\, $5 for Lady\, Junior\, and Youth. Check-ins will run from 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM\, the match starts as close to 8:45 AM as possible. This match is open to the public\, there is no requirement to be a Colfax Sportsmen’s Club member to compete. SUMMARY:WTPS Concealed Carry Gun Match
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the WTPS Concealed Carry Gun Match!\nThis is an all paper target\, outlaw hit factor match. No race rigs here folks. This is your chance to run your everyday carry gun in a 5 stage match from concealment.\nFeaturing 3 different divisions: Optics\, Irons\, and 8-Ball. This match also allows any centerfire caliber choice from .380 acp and up with no power factor requirements. If your daily carry is not covered under this caliber requirement please reach out to WTPS on Facebook to discuss options.\nOptics division is for any firearm with a red dot sight attached as the primary sighting solution. No other equipment restrictions. No restrictions on mag capacity or size but must be concealed under apparel while standing at rest. (Because we know you aren’t carrying a G34 with a Magpul drum mag everyday)\nIrons division is for any firearm with iron sights as its primary sighting solution. Irons guns may have a projected laser aiming device present such as crimson trace laser grips or laser equipped flashlights. No equipment restrictions except for the barring of red dot optics. No restrictions on mag capacity or size but must be concealed under apparel while standing at rest.\n8-Ball is a low cap division. Firearms permitted in 8-Ball can hold no more than 8 rounds per cylinder or 8 rounds total in a semi auto with a full mag and loaded chamber (7+1). There are no equipment limitations for 8-Ball except the maximum round capacity but must be concealed under apparel while standing at rest.\nEach stage will feature no more than 18 rounds required to finish a course of fire. There will be options for K shots that can neutralize targets in single shots and drop that minimum round count for those choosing accuracy over mag dumping. But of course mag dumping into targets while on the timer is still a welcome strategy if that’s your thing.\nAll competitors will draw and compete from concealment. Firearms\, mags\, and related carriers must be concealed fully by closed front clothing while standing at rest. (This isn’t IDPA or a bass tournament\, fishing vests are not allowed for concealment)\nMagazines may be carried in apparel pockets.\nBoth OWB and IWB holsters which fully cover the trigger and prevent activation are legal\, but must be placed at or forward of the 3 or 9 o’clock position on the shooter’s belt line. Shoulder holsters\, pocket holsters\, or off body carry bags will not be permitted due to flagging and 180 violation concerns. Small of back carry is not allowed.\nShooters will have mandatory mag changes within the stages. Any stage with 7-12 rounds will require one mag change during the COF. Stages with 13-18 rounds will require 2 mag changes within the COF. Unless otherwise directed in a written stage brief\, a reload may be performed at any time during the COF. A mag change is defined as dropping a magazine from the gun\, inserting a new one\, and then firing at least one shot. All required mag changes must be complete before last round fired or a procedural penalty per missed change will be assessed
