There is no limit to the number of sighters expended.\nThe 50 yard target has 3 sighter targets and 20 targets for score.  Shooters may only count 1 hit per target.  In the event that more than 1 hit is present\, the highest scoring hits will be removed until 1 hit remains.  If the hit touches/breaks  a higher scoring ring\, the higher scoring ring will be counted.\nThe 100 yard target has 2 sighter targets and 4 targets for score.  Shooters will have 20 minutes to shoot sighters and 5 rounds per scoring target (total of 20 scoring rounds) for score.  No limit on number of sighters.\nIn the event that more than 5 scoring hit are present on a target\, the highest scoring hits will be removed until 5 hits remain. (Loaded is defined as a round in the chamber or rounds in magazine once seated.\nWe recognize that the high-muzzle rule at TCGC can be challenging\, particularly for shooters who train for real-world or duty use. IDPA at TCGC has a policy that states: A competitor who receives a disqualification (DQ) at a match is limited to one firearm division entry at their next IDPA match. As a result of the high-muzzle DQ\, a competitor is limited to a single entry for the upcoming IDPA match. This policy is not a reflection of a competitor’s overall firearm skill or experience. Its purpose is to help competitors focus on a single platform and reduce the likelihood of repeat safety violations\, which we’ve seen occur more frequently when shooters enter multiple divisions.\n***NEW***\nIDPA HQ in the 2026 Rule Book has codified the decision to disallow the Sig Sauer P320 platform including military and X5 model from all IDPA events. So make sure your gear is strapped on tight and ready to go!\nDISQUALIFICATIONS\nThese are Match DQ’s not Stage DQ’s which means if you are disqualified then you are finished shooting for the day\nThe Match Director will review all DQ’s\, Match Director decisions are final\, there are no appeals and there are no refunds\nUnintentional\, Negligent or Accidental discharge of your firearm at any time during the event is a DQ\nHaving a loaded gun at any time during the event is a DQ\, unless you are the shooter executing a course of fire\nGun handling at any time during the event is a DQ\, unless you are the shooter executing a course of fire or working at a safe table\nDropping a gun during your course of fire is a DQ. If you drop a gun outside your course of fire then get a Range Officer to assist with recovery\nBreaking the 180 degree barrier\, Muzzling any part of yourself\, Muzzling anyone else during your course of fire is a DQ\nFinger on the trigger while Reloading\, Clearing a malfunction\, or while Moving and not actively shooting at targets during your course of fire is a DQ\nDisagreeing with a Range Officer is allowed but being disrespectful is not\, so know the difference because Unsportsmanlike Conduct is a DQ
