DESCRIPTION:Eastern Colorado Section requires all shooters to have a safety card to participate in all USPSA matches\nThis USPSA Safety Course is designed to educate experienced shooters with the knowledge and skills to begin participating in USPSA matches at Bristlecone and around the state/country! Topics covered in the class are centered around USPSA matches themselves such as match structure and rules\, safety protocols for indoor and outdoor matches\, official range commands\, targets\, scoring\, and more! Students will also be evaluated for their safe gun handling skills and holster draw and will run through multiple drills on our state-of-the-art Ti Training Virtual Simulator! Once students demonstrate proficiency\, students will receive their USPSA safety card which allows them to shoot at matches! **This is not a live fire class.**\nRequired equipment:\n–  Semi-automatic magazine-fed handgun\n–  2 magazines\n–  OWB holster\n–  Magazine carrier\n–  Sturdy belt\n–  NO ammunition allowed in the classroom\nALL firearms MUST be cleared by Bristlecone staff prior to entering the classroom.\nA minimum of 3 students is required to run the class or it may be canceled/rescheduled.\nPLEASE WITHDRAW FROM THE CLASS USING YOUR PRACTISCORE ACCOUNT or cancelations must be made in writing (training@bristleconeshooting.com).\nCancelations received more than 72 hours prior to the class – students will be eligible for a full refund or reschedule to another class (moving the participant(s) to another class within a three-month period).\nCancelations received within the 24 to 72-hour window prior to the class – students will not be eligible for a refund\, but will be eligible for a one-time reschedule (moving the participant(s) to another class within a three-month period)\, for a $25 rescheduling fee.\nCancelations received less than 24 hours prior to the class or failure to attend the class – students will not receive a refund\, nor will they be eligible for rescheduling. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the registration page for the Indoor IDPA match at Freedom Outdoors in Douglasville\, GA\nThis is a monthly Tier I IDPA match held on the 2nd Monday of every month. There is a low-light IDPA match on the 4th Monday of every month.  We try to complete between 4 scenario stages each match and up to 2 standards stages. The number of rounds required is between 80-100 rounds. Please bring at least 100 rounds in case of malfunction or reshoot. No steel-core or steel-cased ammunition is allowed on the range. Common calibers are available for purchase from Freedom Outdoors on site.\nIDPA matches require a safe and operational firearm\, at least two magazines (three is ideal)\, magazine carriers to hold the magazines on your belt\, and a concealment garment such as a fishing vest or Hawaiian shirt.\nPlease sign in at the counter to fill out paperwork and process payment prior to entering the range bays. The match begins at 6:00PM\, and shooters are encouraged to arrive prior to 6:00 to assist with setup. New shooters please arrive 30 minutes prior (5:30) to receive a short required safety briefing.\nRegistration is open to current IDPA members and anyone interested in becoming an IDPA member and competitor. The object of the game is to knock as many silhouettes as possible off the stand\, shooting one round at each silhouette. It is a very simple competition\, with very simple scoring: Knocking an animal off its stand counts as a hit.\n\nAlthough silhouette is an easy game to learn\, it is not an easy game to master. The animals are rather small and the distances can reach out a bit; you must shoot offhand (standing); a moderate breeze can move a bullet or a pellet the width of an animal; your concentration becomes more difficult to hold as you knock down five in a row or with a close miss.  Silhouette is an endless challenge that makes you a better shooter!\nThis is a reoccurring event every Week- we intend to host this practice barring weather or extraordinary barriers preventing the event from occurring in a safe environment.
