SUMMARY:Heartland Steel Challenge Monthly June 20th
DESCRIPTION:Steel Challenge is a speed shooting competition governed by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) that consists of eight standardized stages with steel targets in three sizes; small circular (10”)\, large circular (12”) and rectangular (18×24”) targets. Competitors are scored solely by the time it takes them to complete each stage\, and the match winner is the competitor with the lowest overall time.\nThere are 5 stages with 5 steel targets on each. Shooters get five runs on each stage. Each competitor shoots each stage five times\, with their slowest run dropped. The counting times are totaled for their stage score\, and the 4 stage scores are added together to establish the competitor’s match score.\nFor each run\, one hit per target is required\, with an unlimited number of rounds. The last target to be shot is known as the “stop plate”\, which stops the timer. Any primary targets that have not been hit after the stop plate has been struck\, will be scored with a 3-second penalty each. The maximum time permitted for a run is 30 seconds and a competitor will be stopped and asked to reload if they reach the 30 second limit.\nRound count is 125 required\, recommend bringing 200-250 to account for makeup shots.\nQuestions please call Mason Williams @ 308 380 1454

SUMMARY:EWPSA 2026-06 DMR
DESCRIPTION:EWPSA’s second DMR match of the summer.\nA DMR match is a rifle only match emphasizing longer range shooting – for a “designated marksman’s rifle”. Ranges will be between 100 and 800 yards\, with target sizes of 2+ MOA. This will be somewhat similar to a Gas Gun Show match\, if you are familiar with those. Stages will have par times of around 2 minutes. These run faster than monthly 2-gun matches. If you have a spotting scope\, please bring it to help call hits.\nRegistration opens at 8:30am. The pistol bays gate will be open for you. We’ll have a shooter’s meeting and new shooter’s brief around 8:50am\, and get started shooting around 9:00am.\nThe match is $20 for non-members and $15 for TCSA members\, and setup/teardown staff shoots for free. Setup starts 1.5 hours before the match start time at 7:30am.\nExpect 4-6 stages\, requiring probably around 100 rounds of rifle ammunition. Some stages will allow only a fixed number of rounds\, some will be “shoot until you hit”\nQuestions? Email ewpsa.multigun@gmail.com

SUMMARY:CPS Tactical 2 Gun June 2026
DESCRIPTION:Tactical 2 Gun (T2G) is a Multigun match that uses Time Plus scoring to test shooting\, firearm handling\, tactics\, and gear. These matches emphasize the “practical” in practical shooting sports. While “race” gear is welcome\, these matches are designed around and encourage the wearing of full kit. Stages focus on plausible\, real-world tactical scenarios. Penalties are stiff\, so striking the balance between accuracy and speed is essential.\nNew shooters should read through the Tactical 2 Gun (T2G) rulebook linked below prior to match day:\nhttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1yLQ4T35OJWxBIsjGIBxl_qlzuQ6kzQ4i/view?usp=sharing\nTypical round count is 150 primary\, 75 secondary. However\, due to the nature of T2G match rules\, round counts can vary wildly. We strongly suggest bringing double the typical round count.\nSetup begins at 8:30AM. Please arrive at that time and help us build stages. Safety briefing begins immediately after setup.\n==============================\nWhile T2G matches are open to the public\, they are NOT suitable for net new shooters. The manipulations required and stage scenarios simulated make these matches best suited to experienced competitors. If you’re unsure of your qualifications\, contact match admins linked in the above rulebook. Observers are always welcomed.\nEvent Requirements:\n• ALL Attendees – Registration is now required for CPS events at the provided registration link. Everyone must attend the safety brief. No exceptions.\n• If you just want to observe the event\, simply show up and sign the Liability Waiver in the CPS Office. If you have any questions\, please contact the Match Director.\nOther Info:\n• Gate Code – Gate event code is emailed to the registered attendees the night before or morning of the event.\n• Directions – Posted on the COSSA website.
