SUMMARY:SHOOT SIG - Trigger Guard
DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re new to shooting competitions or an experienced competitor\, you’ll enjoy 3 approachable stages that can be completed with less than 100 rounds and in under an hour. Compete again in the same or another division for a discounted match fee. Bring any pistol or PCC or try out a new SIG pistol or PCC for an additional fee. You must be a SHOOT SIG member and shoot a SIG firearm to be eligible for prizes.\n*NOTE: If you want to shoot in more than one Division or multiple entries in a single Division\, you must first complete your initial registration and pay the initial $45 match fee. Then\, you must register for each additional entry and select “Additional Division” under Extras in the payment information section to receive the discounted match fee of $25. Each additional entry in this manner will allow you to pick a respective Division and Squad; this will result in multiple registrations for the same match being displayed under your PractiScore dashboard profile.\n**NOTE: As a reminder\, we operate using a “cold range” principle which means all firearms are to remain unloaded and in your gun bag/box or holster until you are under the direct supervision of a SHOOT SIG Range Officer and have been instructed to “load and make ready” on a prescribed course of fire. If you are planning to shoot the match with your carry gun and you arrive to the range with a loaded (hot) firearm\, we will have designated safe areas clearly marked where you can safely unload your firearm prior to checking in. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes ahead of your scheduled start time to allow enough time to check in at the registration booth. Once you have checked in and are assigned a SHOOT SIG Range Officer with your respective squad\, further instructions will be provided to you regarding when and where you can load your magazines\, and/or function check your firearm (if needed).\n***NOTE: Online Registration will close at 8 a.m. on Friday\, July 10th. Walk up registrations will be permitted during the main match from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

SUMMARY:GPS Steel Challenge July 2026
DESCRIPTION:Our monthly officially sanctioned Steel Challenge match hosted at Wallis-Orchard Gun Range in Wallis\, TX.\nHammer down 8:30AM.\n\nSteel Challenge stages consist of 5 steel plates with one plate designated as the Stop Plate. You can shoot the plates in whatever order you like but the Stop Plate must be last because hitting the Stop Plate ends the current String of Fire. Your String doesn’t end until you hit the Stop Plate so you can keep taking make up shots on missed plates until you decide to hit the Stop Plate or 30 seconds elapses.\nYou shoot 5 Strings in a row and your score for that stage is the total time of the best 4 Strings. Basically\, you get one throwaway String. The lowest total time across all stages wins. Most stages are shot stationary from within a shooting box\, but one stage does require you to move between boxes on the clock.\nYou can shoot centerfire pistols\, pistol caliber carbines\, 22LR pistols\, or 22LR rifles. 22LR pistols and all rifles start low ready\, pointing at a start mark so you don’t need a holster or mag pouches for these divisions.\nFor more information about Steel Challenge\, check out our quick guide to Steel Challenge on our website: http://www.generationpracticalshooters.com/steel-challenge.html\nSee the full rules here: https://scsa.org/rules\nYou may shoot a 2nd gun for $10 more. To do this you must register for the match twice\, and select the 2nd gun discount when registering the second time and it’ll only charge you $10 for the second entry. Make sure to squad your second entry with your first. Maximum 2 guns please.\n$10 Junior (under 18) discount on the first gun only\nRefunds are available only if you withdraw before the match closes.
