SUMMARY:2026-06-08 First Responders Hit Factor Match hosted by Firearm Logic at Phoenix Rod & Gun Club
DESCRIPTION:Firearm Logic is hosting Arizona’s only all day First Responder local match\, consisting of five full size stages with a 150 to 200 round count. There will be three start times to accommodate different schedules. If it is your first time\, it is recommended that you bring approximately double that amount of ammunition.\nThis match is built to support our first responders who are at the forefront of every emergency response. Practical shooting provides a structured environment to apply fundamental firearm skills on demand in dynamic stages\, reinforcing consistency\, accountability\, and performance under pressure.\nMatch Schedule\nMorning Match\n9:00 AM start time\nSquad 104 is reserved for unit support with Dennis. Units may utilize this squad for structured guidance during the match.\nMidday Match\n1:00 PM start time\nSquad 204 is reserved for unit support with Dennis. Units may utilize this squad for structured guidance during the match.\nMain Match\n5:00 PM start time\nThis time slot is restricted to law enforcement personnel only. Fire and EMS participants\, as well as sponsors\, are not eligible for the 5:00 PM main match.\nThe main match will have dedicated Range Officers on each stage responsible for running the timer and scoring tablet to ensure smooth and consistent match flow.\nThe main match will also have a designated law enforcement mentor who will shoot first on every stage to demonstrate stage pacing and execution. After their run\, the mentor will assist the squad with stage planning\, safety\, and performance guidance.\nIf you have never shot a match before\, match etiquette requires self RO squads. This means everyone on the squad must help with the tablet\, timer\, and especially resetting. Only the on deck shooter should be walking the stage while another shooter is actively shooting.\nWho is considered a First Responder and can sign up for the match?\nActive sworn law enforcement currently employed in a position with arrest powers\nActive full time EMS or firefighters assigned to 911 response\nFirearm Logic also supports specialized units through structured training sessions outside of the match environment. Units interested in dedicated training can coordinate directly at dennis@firearmlogic.org.\nHow do I know if I have the right gear?\nYour duty gear is sufficient. Otherwise\, whatever gear you have available will work. At a minimum\, you should have a firearm\, at least three magazines\, a holster\, magazine pouches\, a belt\, eye and ear protection\, and ammunition.\nHow do I know if I selected the right division?\nThat is okay. Select any division.\nCan I shoot the match multiple times?\nYes. Multiple sign ups are allowed\, and each additional entry will receive a 10 dollar discount.\nOnly your first score will count. All additional scores will be removed.\nYou may not shoot the same time slot twice. Each entry must be in a different time slot.\nOnly First Responder competitors will be eligible for random prize giveaways. The match director will randomize selections after all shooters have completed the match. Selected shooters will receive prizes from sponsors and can coordinate pickup with the match director.\nThis is a pistol only event and will follow USPSA style rules using hit factor scoring with modified outlaw divisions.\nDivisions\nPractical Duty\nMinimum caliber 9x19mm\nMaximum caliber 45 ACP\nMinor power factor scoring\nOptical\, electronic\, or iron sights permitted\nMaximum magazine capacity 17 plus 1 (Flush Fit Mag/126mm Length)\nNo compensators or porting\nNo frame mounted optics\nFlashlights and lasers allowed\nMagwells allowed\nMust be a handgun\nPractical Competition\nMinimum caliber 9x19mm\nMaximum caliber 45 ACP\nMinor power factor scoring\nOptical\, electronic\, or iron sights permitted\nMaximum magazine capacity 25 plus 1 (Magazine with basepad/141.25mm length)\nNo compensators or porting\nNo frame mounted optics\nGas pedals allowed\nFlashlights and lasers allowed\nMagwells allowed\nMust be a handgun\nOpen\nMinimum caliber 9x19mm\nMaximum caliber 45 ACP\nMinor power factor scoring\nOptical\, electronic\, or iron sights permitted\nMaximum magazine capacity 30 plus 1 (Extended mag/171.25mm length)\nCompensators or porting allowed\nFrame mounted optics allowed\nGas pedals allowed\nFlashlights and lasers allowed\nMagwells allowed\nMust be a handgun\nDefensive Practical\nMinimum caliber 9x19mm\nMaximum caliber 45 ACP\nMinor power factor scoring\nOptical\, electronic\, or iron sights permitted\nMaximum magazine capacity 17 plus 1 (Flush Fit Mag/126mm Length)\nCompensators or porting allowed\nNo frame mounted optics\nFlashlights and lasers allowed\nMagwells allowed\nMust be a handgun\nMust be shot from concealment\nRefund Policy\nAll registrations are final and non refundable. SUMMARY:Belton Gun Club June First Sunday PM Steel Challenge Match 6-7-26 2PM Start
DESCRIPTION:Steel Challenge Match 15 minutes south of Greenville….\n****** Important Notice******\nIn the interest of safety for all members\, guests\, and visitors\, Belton Gun Club is implementing a temporary ban on all SIG Sauer P320-based pistols being brought onto or used on club property.\nThis decision has been made out of an abundance of caution following a series of recent incidents and un-commanded discharges involving the P320 platform. In light of these events\, several government agencies and private facilities have also adopted similar temporary restrictions on the use of these firearms while further testing and evaluations are conducted.\nEffective immediately\, all P320-based pistols are prohibited at Belton Gun Club until further notice. This includes all variants and modified versions of the P320 platform.\nPlease note: This restriction applies only to the P320 and its variants. All other SIG Sauer pistols and rifles are unaffected by this ban and remain welcome on club property.\nIf you show up to the match with a Sig P320 or one of it’s variants you will be asked to replace it or you will be withdrawn from the match.\n2 PM Start. Steel Challenge Shooting Association sanctioned Steel Challenge match at Belton Gun Club! Six official stages\, 145 rounds minimum to complete the match. All 13 official Steel Challenge divisions are welcome! (Centerfire pistol\, PCC\, 22 rimfire pistol and rifle)\n Match fee is $20 for first firearm\, $5 for optional 2nd firearm which must be in a different equipment division. $5 discount for BGC members\, Super Seniors and Distinguished Seniors on first firearm\nJuniors and full time student match fees are 10$ for first firearm and 5$ for second.\nCash payment at registration on match day\, exact change really helps.\nRegistration using Practiscore is highly encouraged. Go to https://practiscore.com and sign up for a free account\, and then search for Belton Gun Club under Clubs or Matches. We also accept walk-up registrations the morning of the match (if slots are available)\, but Practiscore registration is preferred.\nYou may compete in a maximum of 2 divisions at this match. If you choose to compete with more than one firearm\, they must be registered in different divisions and be registered separately.\nRegistration at the range starts at the registration table at the Competition bays (follow the signs for Steel Challenge when you come on the property) by 1PM and ends at 1:50PM. Shooting begins promptly at 2PM.\nCash payment is accepted during registration the morning of the match. We do not accept credit cards\, Venmo or Paypal! Please try to bring exact change.\nThe Competition bays are located on the road to the left before entering the main gate at the clubhouse. The parking area is on the high ground above the bays.\nAll firearms shall be EMPTY at ALL TIMES! All rifles (.22 Rimfire Rifles & PCCs) must employ a chamber flag! This is an official Steel Challenge rule and is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Chamber flags are not used for .22 Rimfire Pistols or for centerfire pistols. Holsters are required for centerfire pistol divisions.\nThe official Steel Challenge rulebook (https://uspsa.org/viewer/SCSA_Rule_Book.pdf) is recommended reading for anyone unfamiliar with Steel Challenge\, particular emphasis being placed on Chapters 1\, 4\, 5\, and 8. They are no more than a few pages long each and cover essential safety rules and range procedures. Do not get yourself disqualified because you didn’t understand the safety rules! The appendices cover division rules\, so your equipment questions can be answered there\, as well as in Chapter 3 for more general guidelines.\nRulebook: https://uspsa.org/viewer/SCSA_Rule_Book.pdf\nPLEASE NOTE: EYE PROTECTION IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON BELTON GUN CLUB PROPERTY!!!\nAny further questions can be directed to match director at bgcsteelchallenge@gmail.com.
