SUMMARY:2026-07-13 First Responders Hit Factor Match hosted by Firearm Logic at Phoenix Rod & Gun Club
DESCRIPTION:Firearm Logic is hosting Arizona’s only all day First Responder local match\, consisting of five full size stages with a 150 to 200 round count. There will be three start times to accommodate different schedules. If it is your first time\, it is recommended that you bring approximately double that amount of ammunition.\nThis match is built to support our first responders who are at the forefront of every emergency response. Practical shooting provides a structured environment to apply fundamental firearm skills on demand in dynamic stages\, reinforcing consistency\, accountability\, and performance under pressure.\nMatch Schedule\nMorning Match\n9:00 AM start time\nSquad 104 is reserved for unit support with Dennis. Units may utilize this squad for structured guidance during the match.\nMidday Match\n1:00 PM start time\nSquad 204 is reserved for unit support with Dennis. Units may utilize this squad for structured guidance during the match.\nMain Match\n5:00 PM start time\nThis time slot is restricted to law enforcement personnel only. Fire and EMS participants\, as well as sponsors\, are not eligible for the 5:00 PM main match.\nThe main match will have dedicated Range Officers on each stage responsible for running the timer and scoring tablet to ensure smooth and consistent match flow.\nThe main match will also have a designated law enforcement mentor who will shoot first on every stage to demonstrate stage pacing and execution. After their run\, the mentor will assist the squad with stage planning\, safety\, and performance guidance.\nIf you have never shot a match before\, match etiquette requires self RO squads. This means everyone on the squad must help with the tablet\, timer\, and especially resetting. Only the on deck shooter should be walking the stage while another shooter is actively shooting.\nWho is considered a First Responder and can sign up for the match?\nActive sworn law enforcement currently employed in a position with arrest powers\nActive full time EMS or firefighters assigned to 911 response\nFirearm Logic also supports specialized units through structured training sessions outside of the match environment. Units interested in dedicated training can coordinate directly at dennis@firearmlogic.org.\nHow do I know if I have the right gear?\nYour duty gear is sufficient. Otherwise\, whatever gear you have available will work. At a minimum\, you should have a firearm\, at least three magazines\, a holster\, magazine pouches\, a belt\, eye and ear protection\, and ammunition.\nHow do I know if I selected the right division?\nThat is okay. Select any division.\nCan I shoot the match multiple times?\nYes. Multiple sign ups are allowed\, and each additional entry will receive a 10 dollar discount.\nOnly your first score will count. All additional scores will be removed.\nYou may not shoot the same time slot twice. Each entry must be in a different time slot.\nOnly First Responder competitors will be eligible for random prize giveaways. The match director will randomize selections after all shooters have completed the match. Selected shooters will receive prizes from sponsors and can coordinate pickup with the match director.\nThis is a pistol only event and will follow USPSA style rules using hit factor scoring with modified outlaw divisions.\nDivisions\nPractical Duty\nMinimum caliber 9x19mm\nMaximum caliber 45 ACP\nMinor power factor scoring\nOptical\, electronic\, or iron sights permitted\nMaximum magazine capacity 17 plus 1\nNo compensators or porting\nNo frame mounted optics\nFlashlights and lasers allowed\nMagwells allowed\nMust be a handgun\nPractical Competition\nMinimum caliber 9x19mm\nMaximum caliber 45 ACP\nMinor power factor scoring\nOptical\, electronic\, or iron sights permitted\nMaximum magazine capacity 25 plus 1\nNo compensators or porting\nNo frame mounted optics\nGas pedals allowed\nFlashlights and lasers allowed\nMagwells allowed\nMust be a handgun\nOpen\nMinimum caliber 9x19mm\nMaximum caliber 45 ACP\nMinor power factor scoring\nOptical\, electronic\, or iron sights permitted\nMaximum magazine capacity 30 plus 1\nCompensators or porting allowed\nFrame mounted optics allowed\nGas pedals allowed\nFlashlights and lasers allowed\nMagwells allowed\nMust be a handgun\nDefensive Practical\nMinimum caliber 9x19mm\nMaximum caliber 45 ACP\nMinor power factor scoring\nOptical\, electronic\, or iron sights permitted\nMaximum magazine capacity 17 plus 1\nCompensators or porting allowed\nNo frame mounted optics\nFlashlights and lasers allowed\nMagwells allowed\nMust be a handgun\nMust be shot from concealment\nRefund Policy\nAll registrations are final and non refundable.
