SUMMARY:GPA Match at the Cabin May 31st 2026
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Galactic Pistol Alliance!\nSo\, what exactly is the Galactic Pistol Alliance? Briefly\, it is an action shooting sport designed to be safe\, challenging\, fun\, interesting and easily underwood.\nGPA has been in development and evolving since December of 2022. Since then\, we have run literally hundreds of GPA matches and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Here are a few features that make GPA such a blast!\n-No concealment garment required.\n-½ second scoring.\n-Every stage may have up to 24 required shots. More shooting equals more fun!\n-Ammo management is entirely the responsibility of the shooter.\n-You can load your mags to capacity and carry as many as you want.\n-Every stage requires one mandatory reload after the first shot and before the last. You decide when and where to\n do it.\n-You dropped a magazine with rounds in it? It’s legal! No PE!\n-Targets may be required to be shot while you are moving.\n-Any stage can have an unlimited number of steel targets as well as unlimited non-threats!\n-With few exceptions\, whatever equipment you are using in another pistol sport is probably legal in GPA.\n-The rulebook is clear\, concise\, unambiguous and only 12 pages long!\nSHOOTERS MUST HAVE\n– Their own firearm\n– Eye and Ear protection\n– Minimum of 100 rounds of ammo\n– Waiver on file\nSHOOTERS SHOULD HAVE\nA quality IWB/OWB hard holster for their firearm (NO Serpa.)\nA minimum of two magazines or speed loaders (for revolvers) and pouches for them\nNo soft (leather/nylon) holsters will be allowed for safety reasons\, however those without a holster (or acceptable holster) may run each stage off of a designated table or starting point.\n(NOTE: ALL SIG 320 VARIANTS ARE PROHIBITED FROM THESE EVENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)

Examples:\nThe PWS PRC Compensator IS defined as a muzzle brake because the first ports closest to the barrel constitute a set of externally visible braking baffles. However\, the similar PWS FSC Compensator is NOT defined as a muzzle brake because its baffle set is compromised in terms of recoil reduction in order to achieve its hybrid purpose.\nThe Surefire Warcomp is NOT defined as a muzzle brake because it acts as a flash hider with muzzle rise compensating ports\, not braking baffles to reduce recoil force.\nThe KAC MAMS\, Precision Armament EFAB and AFAB\, and similar devices are NOT defined as muzzle brakes because their baffle sets do not have the uncompromised purpose of reducing recoil due to the pinhole-style gas port design.\nFor any specific muzzle device questions\, please send a link to the product or very clear pictures of the device to info@pcsleague.com\n3.21.10.2 Blast mitigation devices\nA blast mitigation device such as the Surefire Warden or Griffin Armament Blast Shield that remains attached to a muzzle brake is allowed as long as the device directs all gasses forward of the muzzle.\n3.21.11 Bolt Carrier Groups\nLightened or Reduced Mass BCGs are prohibited. In any platform\, the total assembled BCG mass must be no less than 0.2oz under the OEM BCG mass of the platform. In an AR-15\, the OEM BCG mass is considered to be 11.0oz.\n3.21.12 Support devices\nTripods\, bipods\, bags\, and related support devices are prohibited.\n3.21.13 Other restrictions\nNo other restrictions.\n———————————————————————————————————————-\nRegistration and payment must be made online.
