SUMMARY:High Power Silhouette
DESCRIPTION:Contact Roger Estes @ rce497@comcast.net \nThis is a High Power Silhouette match per month from March thru November\, 2026\, These will be high power rifle silhouette matches fired on the Lea Valley Range with a total of 40 rounds for record. Records will be kept and sent to the NRA for classification purposes. For the matches practice will begin at 9a.m. and matches will begin at 10.Rules will follow the NRA High Power Rifle Silhouette Rules. Briefly\, rifles for Highpower silhouette have to be at least a minimum center-fire caliber of 6mm\, no maximum. Ammo cannot be belted magnum by Club Rules for ammo.Clothes can be commensurate with the weather but cannot be made specifically silhouette competition\, with the exception that leather vest specifically for rifle silhouette can be used. The match firing will be on relays\, each relay\, consisting of 4 shooting competitors and spotters . Spotters are not mandatory for these matches. Scoring can be done by a spotter or by the competitor's person. The relay is called to the line\, the command of ready is given which is 15 seconds to get prepared to fire the 5 shots in 2 1/2 minutes\, then a short rest\, then 5 more rounds in 2 1/2 minutes. Following these shots\, competitors will show their scores to the stat officer so the scores are recorded. Relays will continue till all animals are fired at. Scores are counted by the knock down of animals off the range rail\, to a maximum of 40 animals. Once the relays are complete\, scores will be counted up and the winner gets cash for the award\, total of 25 for aggregate match winner. $20 for Class winner. Each 3 competitors will get a n award of cash. A plaque award can be substituted for the cash. There is a separate category in which AR-15 rifles are allowed. AR's don't follow the silhouette rules\, mostly because of the shape of the rifle and caliber which is .223. They are allowed in a separate category in this match to get more competitors to shoot these matches\, just generating interest in this sport. They have no classification in the match\, just for fun. The matches are fired on the first Sunday of the month.

SUMMARY:Shootout at the Serengeti 7-5-2026 VERO BEACH Precision Gas Gun
DESCRIPTION:The Shootout at the Serengeti is heading to the Spartan Development Group facility in Vero Beach. The range offers clean lines of fire\, natural terrain\, and plenty of room to build fast\, technical stages that reward solid fundamentals and smooth transitions. Expect a balanced course of fire with practical barricades\, positional work\, and targets that challenge without slowing the match.\nFor 2026\, SATS will be running the Precision Gas Gun Series match format\, including all three divisions: Recce\, DMR\, and Open. Divisions follow the established standards for caliber restrictions\, barrel lengths\, magnification limits\, and velocity caps\, along with the cold-range policy\, safety requirements\, and ammunition rules outlined in the series draft. Competitors can expect hit-to-move stages\, standard 90-second pars\, miss and skip penalties\, and clearly posted WSBs at each stage.\nPrecision gas gun series\nTargets will range from 50 to 1\,000 yards with typical stage demands of eight to nine hits and distances averaging 400–700 yards. Bring accurate dope\, a reliable rifle set up for distance\, and a mindset ready for efficient movement and fast decision-making. Spartan’s Vero Beach layout supports clean stage flow and good visibility\, making it an ideal environment for the Precision Gas Gun format.\nIf you’re looking for a smooth\, well-run match that tests real skill and aligns with the 2026 series standards\, SATS at Spartan in Vero Beach is ready for you. SUMMARY:Mini-Mammoth Match – 5 July 2026
DESCRIPTION:Questions? Match Director: Coach Sammy craig@coachsammy.ca\nNotes:\n– 8.30am 5th July – Address & Directions will be sent to those that Register.\n– Once you and your Partner are registered\, please send me an email with both Team Member names and the name of your Team.\n– If you don’t have a partner\, once registration is full\, I will send out an email asking who needs partners.\nThe Mini-Mammoth Challenge is like a sniper match and inspired by Mammoth Sniper Challenge in the US\, but a much smaller version and with little rucking. So\, think of it as a Mini-Mammoth match. It is a Pistol / Rifle Unknown Distance Team match. It will be based on 2 Ranges at 660 yards and 1000 yards\,\nIt’s a one day match with a two-person team shooting 5 stages\, that combines precision long-range rifle and pistol marksmanship under time constraints. Competitors engage unknown distance targets\, with rifle out to 1000 yards\, and pistol 15 yards to 100 yards\, often from awkward or challenging positions\, rather than a comfortable bench rest. It’s a test of shooting prowess and physical grit. There will be some light rucking between ranges.\nCompetitors shoot as a 2 man team with Rifle and Pistol. Generally\, for each Stage the 1st Team member shoots pistol first and then rifle\, while 2nd shooter assists by spotting and ranging targets. Then team members swop roles. There will be 5 mins total to shoot the stage.\nYou can shoot with Rifle only if you don’t have a Pistol but need a Partner with Rifle only for score. (If you don’t have a pistol but have enough experience with a Pistol to be safe\, it’s possible someone can help with a Pistol).\nYou will have a Match briefing before you shoot without seeing the stage\, and you must take notes to make a good stage plan and know how to find the targets and target distance.\nThere are no wind flags\, a limited round count\, and no sighters. It will be a great challenge and an opportunity to use your pistol and rifle skills and work as a team to identify the correct targets and distances for your elevation within the time allowed.\nRifle can be any weight\, you may use all modern electronics on the firing point\, and all modern shooting equipment and aids\, including bi-pods\, shooting bags and tripods.\nWhat you need:\n– ORA Membership: If you are an ORA Member you will receive a $40 discounted Price. You must insert your Current ORA # to be approved.\n(To Join the ORA\, sign up online at this link): https://ontariorifleassociation.ca/membership-types/\n1. Your Experience:\n– You must be experienced & safe with your pistol and be able to shoot at distance and be able to hit large & small sized targets.\n– You need a Holster Qualification to draw a pistol in condition 1 or 2\, which is considered loaded. Holster Qualifications accepted are IPSC Black Badge &\nIDPA-NSCI. Without a Holster Qual you may draw unloaded (no mag in Pistol ) and load after drawing.\n– Holster should be an operational style Holster\, with at least one level of retention\n(not be a IPSC Race style holster) and is worn on your belt. You may be in compromised positions and Pistols falling on the ground are a DQ.\nNote: if you want to shoot pistol and are a safe and experienced pistol shooter but do not have a Holster Qualification – please select “draw pistol unloaded” when registering.\n– You must be experienced & safe with your rifle\, scope\, ammo combination\, and be able to shoot groups of 1 MOA or less. SUMMARY:SSS USPSA July 2026
DESCRIPTION:*** ADDITIONAL DIVISIONS FOR SAME SHOOTER ARE FULL PRICE ***\nMonthly USPSA pistol match. 5 Stages (including 1 classifier)\n*If you can help set up the Saturday afternoon/evening before the match\, contact the range and we’ll get you in touch with the match director.\nSquads are expected to help break down the last stage they shoot and police brass on all stages they shoot prior to leaving the stage.\nSquad members are expected to share RO & scorekeeper duties under the guidance of the more experienced squad members. At a minimum\, assist with scorekeeping. If you don’t know how to run the tablet\, ask and learn. EVERYONE RESETS. If you aren’t shooting\, running the timer\, running the tablet\, or next shooter\, YOU RESET/PASTE TARGETS.\n* Staff may need to shuffle the squads to make them even\, so if you MUST be squadded with a particular shooter (sharing equipment\, etc.) REGISTER AS A GROUP\, THEN SQUAD YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY. One person creates the group then gives the group code to the others in their group\, which is entered in the appropriate box during their registration. Registering as a group does NOT automatically squad people with the same group number and does not create additional spaces on squads that are full…you have to squad yourselves as space is available. Group registration lets us know you need to stay together if we have to move people around.\nFor more information\, please visit our web page. http://sandhillshootingsports.com/shooting-groups-leagues/pistol-competitions/\nOnline registration closes at 7:00 AM the day of the match. Walk-in registration will be the morning of the event on a space-available basis only.\nCheck-in at 8:00 AM. Shooter briefing at 8:45 AM. 1st shots downrange at 9 AM.\n*** YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE SHOOTER BRIEFING TO SHOOT ***\n* If you have not chosen a squad by 7 AM the day of the match staff will assign you to a squad.\nIt’s suggested to bring 150-200 rounds.\n*** HAVE PHOTO ID WHEN YOU CHECK-IN ***\n*** SIGN YOUR WAIVERS ONLINE AT THIS LINK *** \nWaivers \n\n************************************************************************************************************************************************\nJUST BECAUSE THERE ARE EMPTY SPOTS ON SQUADS DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN THE MATCH IS NOT FULL. Not all shooters pick a squad when they register. Some are perfectly happy with letting the match staff put them in a squad the morning of the event. If the match shows zero spots remaining\, then it’s full. If you register after the match is full then you will be put on the waitlist. We approve shooters from the waitlist in the order they registered after other shooters withdraw from the match.
