This is not common and usually done well in advance due to CAF Range requirements.\n– Because we shoot on a Military Range\, Range Control can shut us down for a high Fire Index\, Lightning or Storm Warning etc. This is out of our control\, and there is no refund in that scenario. I have seen it happen only once in the last 10 years\, but it’s part of shooting on a Military Range\, and must be stated.

SUMMARY:Walter Cline Range Creekside Shootout NRL22X Presented by Vortex Optics
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again. Unfortunately\, we couldn’t get our August date to line up\, so we had to move it up this year. Good news is that it’s the weekend before nationals and will serve as a good tune-up while getting points toward the 2027 season.\nEvent location: Walter Cline Range 7436 South Co Road 575 East\, Versailles\, IN\, 47042\nThis event will be 10 stages designed to be a balance of beginner friendly stages as well as challenging stages for more experienced shooters. Our goal is to make sure shooters of all skill levels are challenged while still having fun and growing the sport. The course of fire will be spread out over 1000 feet of covered firing line\, so carts are welcome and encouraged to transport your gear.\nPrize table: I will attempt to get enough sponsorship to establish a prize table as best as I can\nTrophies will be given out to the top 5 open shooters\, top base\, top lady\, top young gun\, top old gun\, top semi-auto and top air rifle.\nWe will have paper sight-in targets at 50 yards and limited steel out to 200yds. No match props or target steel may be used at any point during sight-in time.\nThe cost of this match will be $65. Young gun fee will be $55. Lunch will be provided as part of your entry fee\, and all shooters will receive a match sun hoodie as long as you are registered and paid before May 20th. The entry fee for this match is non-refundable\, but you may sell your entry to someone else if you wish. This exchange will be facilitated by you\, and you must notify me of the change so we can get the registration correct for match day. As always\, the food truck will be open from the time you arrive until the conclusion of the match. \nMulligans will be available the day of the match for $10. We will also be holding our 3 stage tune-up on Friday evening again for the FAF trophy. The cost of the tune-up will be $20 payable at the time of the match. \nThere are several hotels and Air BNB’s within a 30-40 min drive of the range. Campsites will fill up quickly due to the Muzzleloading Nationals that will be held the following week. You can contact the NMLRA office at 812-432-2670 and ask for Brenda Hooten or nmlra@nmlra.org to reserve a campsite..\nSchedule:\nFriday June 5th 2026\n4pm – early check-in and zero\n6pm – 3 stage tune-up for the FAF trophy will begin\nSaturday June 6th 2026\n7am – zero range will open\n8am – squad mom walk through\n8:15am – range safety brief\n8:30am – range will go hot for the match\nLunch will be at your convenience during the match. Be sure to create a separate entry for each gun.\nWalk-ons are welcome IF open slots are available. However\, Practiscore pre-registration and squad selection is appreciated and preferred.\n******************************************\nWhat to Bring:\nA minimum of 150 rounds per gun/division (We recommend extra to cover misses)\n5 magazines per gun\, especially if using low-capacity mags (e.g.\, 10-round)\nEye and hearing protection for all shooters and spectators.\n******************************************\nMatch Location:\nBays 1 through 6\n******************************************\nCOLD RANGE Rule – Safety First!\nAll firearms must remain UNLOADED unless you’re on the firing line under Range Officer supervision.\nKeep firearms secured in a holster\, bag or cart.\nFor rimfire rifles and PCC\, ensure the bolt is closed on a chamber flag.\nSafe Area: Safe tables are located in each bay\, marked in red.\nImportant: If you’re unfamiliar with the COLD RANGE rule\, leave your firearms in your vehicle and check in at registration.\nWe’re here to help!\nIf an individual is thought to be in violation of the COLD RANGE rule\, a match official will escort the individual to a safe area and direct the individual to unload and show clear. If the firearm is found to be loaded\, the individual will be disqualified from the match and asked to leave the range.\nPlease leave your concealed carry gun in your vehicle. If you are a law enforcement officer\, duly authorized to carry a loaded firearm\, we ask that you proceed immediately to the registration table and ask for a match official for the express purpose of safely unloading the firearm to avoid disqualification.\n******************************************\nNew shooters\nPlease arrive no later than registration opening time for the match and let us know at the registration table if you’re a new shooter. It typically takes 150 rounds per gun with no misses to complete 6 stages. All stages consist of 5 strings of fire on 5 targets. If shooting with a low-capacity magazine (example 10 rounds)\, it is important to have at least 5 magazines per gun to help avoid match delays caused by having to reload magazines while in the shooter’s box.\n******************************************\nNew Shooters Checklist:\nArrive when registration opens (8:00 AM).\nBring extra ammo (more than 200 rounds recommended).\nPay special attention to the COLD RANGE rules.\nFamiliarize yourself with Steel Challenge rules: https://scsa.org/rules\nConsider joining USPSA: https://uspsa.org/join\n******************************************\nCopy and Paste the links below into your browser:\nSteel Challenge rules: https://scsa.org/rules\nUSPSA membership: https://uspsa.org/join\nStage Layout: https://photos.app.goo.gl/cDUwFrz1aQjxaFRm8\n******************************************\nMatch Location:\nEast Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Club\n286 Sportsman Rd\nAlverton PA 15612\nIf you have any questions or concerns\, please email us at: ralloway@gmail.com\nWe look forward to seeing you on the range!\nPlease feel free to contact us with any questions.\nThank you!
