DESCRIPTION:This match is a Practical Shooting League evening at CDTSA Milo Range in Bay 12.  PSL happens on the 2nd Tuesday evening of the month during the spring and summer.\nThe start time is at 5:30pm.  This is when the Safety Briefing and the stage walk-through happens and we start shooting soon after.  If you can’t make it by then\, get there when you can.  We will start setup about an hour or so before start time (4:30pm).  If you can come to help it would be appreciated.  If you can’t make setup\, get here when you can.  If you are later than the start time we will fill you in.  If you shoot\, the cleanup at the end is mandatory.\nThe gates open for non-members at 4:00pm.\nDepending on how many shooters register\, we will have one or two stages set up.  If we set up one stage\, we will shoot it twice with different starting positions\, then change the targets around and shoot it 2 more times per shooter.  If we have two stages set up then we will shoot one stage twice with different start positions then switch with the other squad and shoot the other stage the same way.\nRound count is about 100.  This means you need 100 rounds of ammunition if you don’t take any extra shots but more if you do.\n**A Black Badge is NOT required to shoot.  All we ask is that you come with a safety conscious attitude.\nThe cost is $10 for non-members\, and FREE for members. DESCRIPTION:R10 will be allowed in this match.\nLocal 4 Stage Match\nAppendix Carry is ONLY authorized for Advanced classification or above.\n1Gun is designed to combine the well liked aspects from the different shooting sports\, with dynamic stages and simpler rules. While we fully understand no game can ever prepare one for a real world defensive situation\, we are just trying to build on basic skills that one should have; by rewarding quick\, accurate shooting with the ability to think on the fly. To do this\, we combined standards\, mission based\, and run-n-gun type stages with a more dynamic experience that requires the shooter to adapt vs replay a rehearsed stage plan.\nThe 1Gun Rulebook is attached to the match and for more information\, please see the https://1gun.org website.\nBlind coin flips are done during the stage reset\, hidden under a cup\, revealing the threat target color after the starting beep\, produces dynamic stages. By the pure definition of dynamic stages\, we are saying the stage is not the same for each shooter. This is okay\, and is by design. Stages will be designed to be fair\, not exact or symmetrical. In other words\, every effort will be placed on keeping the shooting complexity similar\, regardless of which color threat is drawn. But depending on your strengths and or weaknesses\, the luck of the draw could be the equalizer. But with that said\, we believe that these slight differences balance out by the end of the match and the benefits of creating a more dynamic experience\, far out weighs any little differences.\n$22 with a $9 discount for verified PRGC members.

The Defender Outdoors Clay Sports Ranch Spring League is an 8 week shooting league where you’ll squad up and compete for awards and bragging rights. Then we’ll all get together at the end to party it up and toast to a season well shot! \nWHEN:\nStart the week of March 18th\, Shoot on 3/18\, 3/25\, 4/1\, 4/8\, SKIP 4/15 week due to State\, 4/22\, 4/29\, 5/6\, 5/13 and League Dinner Party/Awards on May 20th \n***Teams and Individuals can shoot anytime between Wednesday at 10AM and Sunday close of business each week.*** \nBASICS:\nLeague scores based on 50 targets per week.   \n(Practice course and 5-stand will also be available prior and after weekly rounds)  \nTARGETS:\nEnjoyable targets will be set by Gary Madigan and Team \nPRICE:\nPrice for league is $290 for all 8 weeks which includes the League Party dinner/awards.   \nTEAMS:\nA team is required to have a minimum of 4 shooters and a maximum of 6 shooters. Team scores will take the highest 4 shooters including handicap for the weekly total. Team rosters must be finalized by the end of the first week. Individual shooters will be grouped to form teams as needed\, and each shooter may compete on only one team per league. \nHANDICAPS:\nHandicaps are calculated by using the shooter’s weekly score\, then subtracting it from “par”\, which is 45 and multiplying the difference times .70 (70%) Example: If a shooter’s score is 30 the equation is 45-30=15 x .70 = 10.5. the product (in the example 10.5) will be added to the shooter’s score. Handicaps adjusted each week. Maximum score with handicap is 45. \nWEATHER and MAKE-UP ROUNDS:\nIf you are not able to make it on the scheduled evening\, bank scores must be made up by Sunday of that week or you will be given an average of 2 other weeks scores for that week. The object of the game is to knock as many silhouettes as possible off the stand\, shooting one round at each silhouette. It is a very simple competition\, with very simple scoring: Knocking an animal off its stand counts as a hit.\n\nAlthough silhouette is an easy game to learn\, it is not an easy game to master. The animals are rather small and the distances can reach out a bit; you must shoot offhand (standing); a moderate breeze can move a bullet or a pellet the width of an animal; your concentration becomes more difficult to hold as you knock down five in a row or with a close miss.  Silhouette is an endless challenge that makes you a better shooter!\nThis is a reoccurring event every Week- we intend to host this practice barring weather or extraordinary barriers preventing the event from occurring in a safe environment.
