SUMMARY:SUPS Concealed Carry 2026-07-12
DESCRIPTION:8:30am registration\, match starts at 9:00am\n**Special note – Sig P320 and its variants are banned at SUPS**\nThe Concealed Carry match is your opportunity to develop your concealed carry skills. Hone in your draw\, speed\, and accuracy.\nThis match follows PCSL concealment rules with some additions:\n2.10 Concealment\nWhen required by a division or category\, equipment must remain concealed prior to the start signal (not directly visible\, including through mesh fabric) from all directions when the competitor is standing normally with their arms raised parallel with the ground.\n2.10.1 WSB override The WSB may override this requirement.\n2.10.2 Clip exemption Clips used to attach equipment inside of clothes or pockets are exempt (e.g. Neomag Magnetic Pocket Mag Carrier).\n2.10.5 OWB holsters & ammunition carriers OWB (Outside the Waistband) holsters may only be worn on the competitor’s strong side between 2 and 4 o’clock\, or 8 and 10 o’clock. The strong side hip bone denotes the position of 2 o’clock for right handed\, or 10 o’clock for left handed competitors. OWB ammunition carriers may not be further forward than the hip bone\, but may extend past 4 or 8 o’clock to the rear (moon clips are exempt from this restriction).\n– Backpack or fanny pack (off body) carry allowed.\n– First shooter ONLY will receive a brief walk thru\n– Activators will be demonstrated to the first shooter and targets will be pointed out as required.\nDIVISIONS\nOpen (OP)\n– Any gun with a compensator or porting.\n– No other restrictions\nIrons (IRON)\n– Iron sighted\n– No comps or ports\n– Flashlights/lasers allowed\n– Magwells allowed\nOptics (RDS)\n– Gun with a slide-mounted optic\n– No comps or ports\n– Flashlights/lasers allowed\n– Magwells allowed\nLow Cap (LC)\n– Any gun that holds less than 10 rounds from the factory. i.e. revolvers\, 1911s.\n– Alternate scoring\n********\nWe are introducing a Low Cap division with an alternate scoring system.\nMost stages will be under 20 rounds. For Low Cap division\, each target will require only 1 hit unless specified in the WSB. Your score will be the hit on paper x2. (For example\, if you have an A\, it will be 2A. If you have a C\, it will be 2C)

SUMMARY:Modern Carry Federation - July 12 Concealed Match
DESCRIPTION:I am turning this concealed match into its own league called Modern Carry Federation. Website and fleshed out rulebook are in the works\, for now go with what we have here. It will be held on the Sunday immediately following the SLPSA USPSA #1 match. Stages will be reused from the main SLPSA USPSA match\, making for a fun and accessible way to test your concealed carry skills.\nThe match will follow all USPSA safety rules\, and use hit factor scoring. All Big Salty Range rules apply.\n——————– Rules ——————–\nAll competitors must be shooting from holstered concealment. This means that gear such as holsters\, firearms\, and spare magazines must be hidden from view and carried in a realistic\, practical manner. Bagged/off body carry is not allowed at this time due to the potential for DQ issues. Holsters that severely break the 180 (such as shoulder holsters or holsters with extreme cant) are not allowed.\nThe spirit of this match is real-world concealment\, so we are requiring IWB holsters. This is to prevent people from running things they don’t actually wear\, like IDPA-style “gamer vests” with OWB. If you genuinely carry OWB\, it will be allowed if the MD determines it does not violate the spirit of the match. I have never once turned away anyone running their real world OWB rig. Please validate with the MD ahead of time if you have any concerns.\nIt is entirely at the discretion of the MD to determine if you meet the intent of the match! If the MD sees shenanigans\, you can be moved to shooting for no score (with no recourse)\, or disallowed from further match participation.\nWe highly encourage people to run their actual carry setups to see how they perform.\n——————– Divisions ——————–\nMinimum caliber is .380 ACP. While we would like to accommodate those brave souls that carry .25 ACP pop guns\, it just isn’t practical from a match management perspective. Perhaps in the future we can have a backup gun division\, but for now it is .380 or higher.\nThe divisions are all capacity-based with no other accessory restrictions. So feel free to run your carry gun with a comp\, port\, thumb rest\, magwell\, optics\, irons\, etc. Holster-capable PDWs like the P365 Raider are allowed\, provided you are IWB with it in a manner you would actually carry.\n– Small Cap – 8 max rounds in the magazine (or cylinder). Represents your smaller carry guns or revolvers. In order to help low cap be competitive and not need a huge amount of spare mags to reload\, small cap division hits are scored as a 2x the hit\, e.g.\, one alpha becomes two alphas. So you typically only need one hit per target.\n– Factory Cap – 18 max rounds in the magazine. Represents your traditional factory capacity magazines.\n– Modern Cap – 25 max rounds in the magazine. Represents the growing capacity of modern carry setups.\nAll questions or comments can be directed to the Match Director Rory Norman at admin@slpsa.org.\nSUNDAY\n8:00 AM – Range Open\, function fire can be done in an empty bay under the direction of an RO.\n8:00 AM – Staple fresh targets\, help with stage changes if any are needed.\n8:30 AM – New shooter brief. As it is concealed only\, this match requires a higher level of skill and attention to safety\, so if you are a totally new shooter this might not be the right environment to start at. That said\, we will have a new shooter brief for anyone who needs it\, likely in Cemetery Bay. Refer to the new shooter brief on the website if needed (https://slpsa.org/new-shooter-help/)\n9:00 AM – All Shooter Meeting\n9:15 AM – First shots (after the shooter meeting has concluded)\n3:00 PM – Approximate end of match. Empty trash\, take down all paper targets.
